Vegeta is one of the strongest of the surviving saiya-jin. Having the ability to transform into a Super Saiya-jin and beyond, he is easily recognizable as one of the strongest fighters in the universe. Here is the whole story. After hearing from Raditz about the dragonballs, he and Nappa started on their journey to earth, but Raditz and his big mouth told the Z Fighters about it, so the fighters decide to train and find out that they only have one year. Since Kakarotto(Goku) died in the battle, upon Kami-sama's(I refuse to call him god) orders, he travels down Snake Way to train under the north Kaio-sama. Later, when Vegeta and Nappa get closer to earth, Vegeta suggests that they get out and stretch their legs a bit. They stop on a small planet called Arlia. They land and Nappa comments on how the planet had higher points for its beauty, but the Arlians had a new ruler and apparently they had been through a war. Two Arlian soldiers come up on two giant worm-like creatures with armor. The Arlians order that Vegeta and Nappa surrender and come with them. Nappa charges up, eager to battle with them, but using a bit of telepathy, Vegeta tells Nappa to surrender so they can have some fun. I think this is just one of the few times Vegeta uses telepathy. Nappa and Vegeta surrender and are taken to the Arlian jail. In the arena, the king and his new queen are sitting on their thrones watching some gladiators fight. The king gets bored and one soldier says they have captured some aliens. The king tells them to bring them up at once, but Vegeta speaks up and says, "We're already here." Everyone is suprised and the new champion is ordered to show them how fighting is done. In one small blast Nappa(I think) takes him out. Then the king calls out his elite royal guards. Using a barrier, they block the energy and proceed to eliminate the guards. More to come! Back
