"M" played by Bernard Lee

The only person James Bond answers to. M gives Bond his orders and a few words of encouragement. He and Bond share an interesting friendship that is based upon mutual respect, shared experiences, and a desire to do good.
"M" played by Robert Brown

After Bernard Lee died in 1979, M returned in 1983, this time played by Robert Brown who continued playing the part as if nothing had changed. The relationship between him and Bond continued to have its ups and downs.
"M" played by Judi Dench

While the old M usually let 007 do his own thing, this M goes according to procedure. Played by Judi Dench, she disapproves of Bond's methods. Despite this, she still thinks highly of Bond's talents and considers him an asset to the British Secret Service.
"Miss Moneypenny" played by Lois Maxwell

Moneypenny is M's personal secretary. Always listening in on meetings, she knows many of Britain's best kept secrets. She is fully trusted not only by M and Bond, but by many high ranking government officials. Perhaps her most well known quality is her undying affection for Bond.
"Miss Moneypenny" played by Caroline Bliss

When Timothy Dalton came to the Bond series the producers decided that Lois Maxwell was getting a bit old for the role. They decided to start fresh with a new actress and a new portrayal of Moneypenny. Audiences, however, didn't like the new look.
"Miss Moneypenny" played by Samantha Bond

Another new Bond and another new Moneypenny. Samantha Bond plays 007's favorite personal secretary with a wit and charm that has been lacking since Lois Maxwell's early films
"Q" played by Desmond Llewelyn

A visit to Q means a peek into the future of technology. Since the beginning, Q has been giving Bond gadgets to help him on his missions. Although Q still thinks Bond doesn't show his gadgets the proper respect, there is a true friendship between the two.
"Felix Leiter" played by Jack Lord

Felix Leiter has been Bond's connection to the C.I.A. An invaluable aid in many missions, Leiter always has an answer or a way out for Bond. The character has been played by dozens of actors over the years beginning with Jack Lord in Dr. No.
"Quarrel" played by John Kitzmiller

Quarrel was James Bond's first on screen ally. Bond met him in Jamaica and Quarrel took 007 to Crab Key, where Dr. No was hiding.
"Ali Kerim Bey" played by Pedro Armendariz

Ali Kerim Bey was Bond's ally during his mission in Istanbul in From Russia With Love. He and his large family aided Bond in his battle against SPECTRE and Red Grant.

"General Anatol Gogol" played by Walter Gotell

For years, General Anatol Gogol was the head of the KGB. On occasion though, Gogol worked against MI6. By 1987, Gogol had retired from the KGB and gone to work for civil services.
"J.W. Pepper" played by Clifton James

JW Pepper is a hick sheriff from Louisiana. He first met Bond after he escaped from Kananga's henchmen in Live And Let Die. Later, in The Man With The Golden Gun JW returned and was actually a partner of Bond. A perfect sidekick for Moore.
"Bill Tanner" played by James Villiers

Bill Tanner is the Chief of Staff for MI6. His character first came about in 1981 and the producers kept M out of the movie to honor the late Bernard Lee. However, after that a new M took over and the character of Tanner stayed.
"Jack Wade" played by Joe Don Baker

Jack Wade is a middle aged CIA agent. At this early point in Bond and Wade's friendship, it seems that Bond doesn't think all too highly of Wade. When Bond shows up in his naval uniform and Wade is in a hawaiian flower shirt, you can see the disgust on Bond's face.
"Valentin Zuchovsky" played by Robbie Coltrane

Coltrane, reprising his role from GoldenEye, seems to be half villain and half Bond's aid returning in The World Is Not Enough. While he does help out Bond with information and in battle, he is also working with Elektra.
"Q" played by John Cleese

With Desmond Llewelyn getting older, the writers finally came up with a replacement for Q. John Cleese plays's the bumbling R who Q is training for his retirement. When Llewelyn passed away, Cleese became the new Q in Die Another Day.
