Criminal Manne of the Project Playaz drops his highly anticipated solo album on Mo Cheda/Rap Hustlaz. The album features some of Memphis's best known rappers including 8Ball & MJG, Gangsta Blac, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Yo Gotti, Mista Ian, Rap Hustlaz, Project Playaz, & production from DJ Squeeky.
1. Intro
2. Not No Mo-- this track has a nice laid back beat with some piano keys and scratchin mixed in there. Criminal Manne lays down some nice flows while declaring that he "ain't playing with no suck ass nigga/not no mo". Nice track that definitely needs to checked out.
3. Yean Know-- this track has a more get ya crunk feel to it. The beat has a decent heavy bass sound but there isn't much here lyrically.
4. I Got That Work-- this track has a heavy bass beat that'll have ya system bumpin in your ride. Crim raps about slangin dope all over Memphis. This one will have ya had noddin to the beat.
5. Mothafuck You Hoes-- this track has a slowed down gangsta ass beat that is tight as fuck. Criminal Manne lays down some tight flows as well. The hook is catchy in my opinion and gives it that laid back feel. One of my favorite tracks on the album.
6. Crim And Gangsta-- this track features Gangsta Blac who lays down some nice verses. Criminal Manne says "fuck a record deal/fuck a video/ we gon' sell anyway". I ain't really feelin the beat on this one though. Otherwise, it's a decent track.
7. Let's Smoke-- this track has a decent heavy bass, mid tempo beat. Criminal Manne drops some flows about smokin out. This is a bumpable song.
8. Beautiful-- this track has a beat which seems like it is used a lot by Memphis artists. I ain't really feelin this one because the hook is horrible to me and Crim ain't comin as tight on this one.
9. Not A Game (f/ Rap Hustlaz & DJ Squeeky)-- this track has that classic DJ Squeeky feel that we're all used to and sounds vaguely like Skinny Pimp's "TV's & Wang". Decent flows from Criminal Manne & Rap Hustlaz who rap about those who fuck with them. Bumpable track.
10. My Folks-- this track has a heavy bass beat similar to Prophet Posse's "Triple Six Clubhouse". Criminal Manne comes tight as fuck on this one. Definitely don't skip this one when checkin out the album.
11. That's Me-- Criminal Manne declares himself as the "P.I.M.P." on this one. The flow is decent on this track but the beat ain't particularly my favorite.
12. Got To Get It-- this track has Criminal Manne flowin over a simple bassline beat. This track is kinda short but it's not all that tight.
13. 'Bout That Money (f/ 8Ball & MJG)-- this is one of the beat songs on the album in my opinion. Criminal Manne comes with some tight flows and 8Ball & MJG drop some nice lyrics (especially 8Ball) as to why they do shows and videos.
14. Look At Me-- this track has a pretty nice mid tempo beat. Crim flows his ass off on this one. You can definitely bump this one but I hate how the pace of the song changes in between verses.
15. My Nigga (f/ Project Playaz)-- this track features Crim's mates, the Project Playaz. This song definitely got some tight verses and a nice beat that'll have ya head bobbin up and down.
16. Come On-- this track has a got some horns and a heavy bass beat. It has a more up tempo feel than previous tracks. This is one of those booty shake club type songs.
17. I Need A Bitch-- this track has a nice laid back feel to it. Crim drops some nice lyrics in this song which has a good tempo to it. Tight song.
18. Stomp (f/ Yo Gotti, Mista Ian, & Kingpin Skinny Pimp)-- Nokia Shine of the Rap Hustlaz starts this track off with some talkin. Yo Gotti is up next with a short verse. The hook is the typical "Stomp muthafucka stomp/move muthafucka move". Kingpin Skinny Pimp does lay down a nice verse too. Bumpin track.
19. Hate The Game-- this track has a space age pimp shit type beat. Criminal Manne comes tight yet again on the mic. Another good track here.
20. You Ain't Got To Ask-- this track has a bangin beat and Crim comes with some more tight flows. The hook is kinda wack to me though. Surely they could have come up with something better than this.
21. 47 Mob-- the beat on this one reminds me of something that 8Ball & MJG would rap over. This track is the posse type song for Mo Cheda. Too many rappers on this one to name but they all come tight on the mic.
Overall, I thought this album was one of the better albums outta Memphis for the year. Criminal Manne is definitely one of my favorite rappers and he didn't disappoint on the mic. DJ Squeeky's production for the most part was good but there isn't much variety in his sound. By the end of the album, the beats start to sound a little repetitive. But it's worth checkin out because the bass lines will have your trunk rattlin if you have a decent sound system and like I said, Criminal Manne brings the heat to the mic.
