Album Rate: 3.5 out of 5 Stars

Ke'Noe, formerly one of the platinum producers for No Limit Records, releases his solo album off his label, Laboratory Recordz. The album features guest spots from B.G., Soulja Slim, C-Murder, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, IW, Da Knight Rydas, Alizee, Jay, Diamond, & Young Josh.

1. Intro

2. Life As A Mack (f/ Diamond)-- this track has a laid back blues guitar beat with R&B singer Diamond helping out on the hook. Kenoe spits rhymes about how he's got his own label and how people are jealous of his success. It has a nice tempo that'll have ya head bobbin to the beat.

3. Gold Diggaz (f/ Snoop Dogg)-- this track has a nice mid tempo bass beat. Snoop starts the track off with a nice verse and actually sounds better than I've heard him sound in a while. Kenoe is up next with a mediocre verse. Nice song overall though .

4. Where I'm From (f/ B.G. & Sopranos)-- this track has a slower old school Cash Money type beat. Kenoe drops a verse about life growing up in the hood to riding in planes with Master P. B.G. laces the hook but doesn't sound that tight on his verse. Soulja Slim drops a nice verse as well. Overall, a nice laid back slow track you can ride to.

5. Oops Upside Ya Head (f/ Da Night Rydas)-- this track has a Jamaican raggae type beat. Kenoe just drops some verses about how he's riding on 20's. There's nothing really special about this track that makes it stand out.

6. Nobody Knows (f/ C-Murder)-- this track has that New Orleans bounce feel to the beat complete with horns blaring. C-Murder drops the first verse about killing people in the 3rd Ward while wearing a ski mask over his face. Kenoe doesn't sound that tight on his verse and the hook is a little verse. C-Murder's second verse is decent. The song is all right and bumpable.

7. They Hatin On Me (f/ B.G.)-- this is the first single from the album. Kenoe and B. Gizzle basically rap about how they get hated on no matter where they go and they end each bar with "they hatin on me". It's a decent track so check it out if you haven't heard it yet.

8. Wanna Know (f/ IW)-- this track has that bounce feel to it. Kenoe raps about the hoods of N-O. Nothing really special about IW's voice. I'm not really feeling this track too much.

9. Welcome To The Lab (f/ IW & Da Night Rydas)-- this track is one of the best ones on the album. The beats are on point and the verses are tight all the way through. Tight track.

10. Putcharaggsup (f/ B.G.)-- this track has a more uptempo N.O. bounce feel with some horns. B.G. drops the first verse but he doesn't bring much to the mic. Kenoe drops a verse about how he's a tight producer. Decent song.

11. Ride Wit Me (f/ Young Josh)-- this track has a mid tempo beat that kinda sounds like someone blowing into a glass bottle with a bassline going. Nothing special about Young Josh. Kenoe drops a decent verse. This track is bumpable.

12. 86 'Em (f/ IW)-- this track has a beat similar to "Hatin On Me". Kenoe doesn't spit anything spectacular while the members of IW drop some decent verses. It's an all right track.

13. Hit Then Get (f/ Jay)-- this track has a nice midtempo beat. Jay sounds eerily like Lil Wayne and he drops a nice verse. Nice track but it's a little short.

14. Rats (f/ Alizee)-- this track has a laid back piano laced beat that'll have ya head bobbin along. Kenoe drops a very tight verse about those snitches out there. Alizee is a 19 year female rapper from the N.O. and she drops a nice verse too. This is probably my favorite track on the whole album.

15. Nasty Lil Girl (f/ Too Short)-- this track starts out with Too Short rappin about fucking a girl (what's new?). Kenoe drops a pretty weak verse about fuckin as well. Too Short makes the song.

16. The Way I Feel-- this track has nice mid tempo beat over a simple bassline. The track has a real R&B feel to it that makes it sound radio friendly. Kenoe does a nice job on the mic. It's a nice track to end the album with.

Overall, the production by Kenoe doesn't stray too far from what we've come to stereotype as the Louisiana sound. The album isn't that bad but it kinda drags along as the album goes on because the beats start sounding the same and Kenoe's lazy style of rap starts to get on your nerves. Lots of guest artists on here as well so the album feels more like a compilation than the ebut album by Kenoe. But overall, a decent album that's probably worth pickin up later on in the used CD bin but I wouldn't drop full price for.
