She-Ra Princess of Power: The Great Rebellion
Broom

Broom is Madame Razz's flying companion, intent on attending every mission by her side.
It would
seem that Broom and Madame have a history indeed, but that
history is rarely touched
upon. From evidence from certain episodes, it appears that Madame
hasn't always been with
Broom and Broom has had experiences away from his magical friend.
For example, Madame
Razz's on-off relationship with Fritz was news to our dusty
friend [30], just as he had heard that
Ahgo had seen the Crystal Castle, whereas Madame was oblivious to
this. [22] This is also the
instance that assumes Broom to be a magical being - he, along
with Queen Angella, Glimmer and
Madame Razz try to defend Castle Bright Moon telepathically.
His
speed was often a use to the Rebellion - escaping the firing of
Hordak's Troopers [33], catching
Madame from falling off a high pole [69] and evaiding being captured by
the ruthless Monstroids
whilst carrying not one, but two passengers. [75] However, his flying, alongside
Madame's
navigation, has often been the cause of a few minor set-backs,
mainly involving crashes into
various random objects, namely trees and bushes, but also Sea
Hawk [16], a random dinosaur [44]
and very nearly oncoming trafic in the form of Vultak! [74]
Like Bow
and Kowl, Broom and Madame Razz seem to have some sort of love/hate
relationship.
More often than not, Broom will find something to disagree with
with Madame [24, 53, 64] and vice-
versa. He also, at any given moment, will comment on her age [20, 44], but will always have
her best interests at heart - fixing her up with Fritz for a date
[30], challanging Kowl about her
even though the blame should have been placed on Imp [43] and advising her to 'hold on
tightly'
when flying! [70] He also has a habit of
correcting his mistress' mistakes, more often than not.
[06, 20, 48]
Broom is
another of those characters with little self-esteem, as explored
on a couple of occasions,
[20, 52] but this does not seem quite
as bad as some of the others, namely Kowl, but also
the fairly undeveloped Sprittina. [88]
Lastly,
it seems fair to point out that Broom was easily one of the
campest characters of the whole
series, making him another for comic relief. Crying endlessly
with Madame at Angella's return [04],
dusting his way through a pile of old books [20] and walking arm in arm with
Kowl to find an old
wizard [53] all emphasise this!
