Frosta is the Ice-Empress of Etheria.

Frosta resides, with her people, in the Kingdom of Snows as reigning queen of Castle Chill, an
area seemingly away from Horde attacks. Only once has the Horde made any kind of assault
on Frosta's domain [
58] - perhaps because of it's distance and cold temperature or maybe due to
the powers possessed by the Queen.

Frosta's people have had a long-term hatred of the Selkies, a neighbouring race from Galacia,
only moments away from Castle Chill. The two tribes made a truce when the Horde arrived,
indicating that Frosta's people had been there prior to the invasion and also that the Horde had, at
least once before, made themselves known in the Snow-Lands. However, since then, after a trick
played by Modulok and one of his inventions, the Snow People and the Selkies fell out - the
dispute, settled by She-Ra, was resolved and they now live in peace.

Frosta, unsurprisingly, has powers over ice. Her abilities allow her to creatre snow and ice in
warmer climates [
06, 39, 85] and also freeze other objects [55, 75, 85], making her one of the much
more powerful additions to the Rebellion.

Other abilities expressed by Frosta include a telepathic-skill, enabling her to call upon her
ice-powers in secret and thus helping her out of sticky situations [
58] and a nifty method of
transport, where she would freeze thin-air and make a pathway on which to travel. [
58, 85]

Our ice-empress was originally and up until the end of the first season of She-Ra, only a character
who would appear in cameo roles, often only attending banquets and ceremonies [
18, 20] or
aiding the Rebels. [
39, 55] Season 2 would only give her another couple of appearances, but
this was fortunately enough to showcase more of a character - and a somewhat flirtatious one at
that, as she expressed a hefty interest in She-Ra's brother, He-Man. The crush was so bad, it
seemed, that jealousy set in when he showed an interest in Sweet Bee and even when Mermista
innocently congratulated him on a job well done. [
85] Little did she know that he was also the
object of desire for Teela, Castaspella and Glimmer! Oh, the drama of it all.
