About
5.5" Arena Figures
|
Words
of Wisdom from Mr. Unknown - Between myself & Luchaswag, we've counted well over 100 different figures in this line, and it's probably ALOT bigger. - The quality of the ones found in Mexico are better than Tijuanas, more selection too. - There is a related line of midget figures. - The same heads were used for a "civilian clothes" companion line. It used a Chuck Norris figures body mold, then the masked wrestler head was popped on to give you a street clothes version of the ring star. The only street clothes lucha toys ever made as far as I know. - There are 3 or 4 slightly variated body types, the main difference being in the shape of the knee pads & boot styles. |

added: "The figures shipped to Tijuana and other outlying areas (Monterrey,
Juarez, Aguacalienties, Guerrero, Acapulco, etc..) are actually the "rejects",
which is why you will see cruder paint jobs on them then those found in
Mexico City. In Mexico City, they can get more money than in those other
areas because you have 25,000 people/week attending the shows as opposed
to the 500-2000 in other cities."

WARNING:
The 5.5" Arena figures are painted with a Lacquer based paint. So you might not want to give this to to a small child... Unless you hate them. |
