| Protists, are another kingdom of living things. To the left, is all the phylums. There are about 65,000 living species of protists, and all protists are eukaryotes. Note that haptophyta and prymnesiophyta are the same phylum. The protists contain algae. Red algae belong to the Rhodophyta phylum. Green algae belong to the Chlorophyta phylum. Brown algae belong to the Phaeophyta phylum. Golden colored or yellow-green/golden-brown algae belong to the Chrysophyta phylum. |
