Bond ---------------- |
Polar Bond |
Polar bonds are bonds similar to covalent bonds and ionic bonds. Since covalent bonds are where atoms share electrons, and ionic bonds are where atoms lose or gain electrons, polar bonds are like covalent bonds except the electrons tend to be more closer to one atom than another, which is like ionic bonds except it sometimes goes to the other atom. So in this case, an atom attracts the electrons more strongly than the other atom, yet it revolves on both... not equally. |
