I recently bought an astronomy book, like the biology, (last Monday) and there a few things I would like to add on this site. I am thinking about adding a picture of a world map in our Geography section, specifically the main page. Also is a miscellaneous section for various things I would like to add, but, it fits no particular subject that we yet have. Also, we are planning on having our own search engine, and apparently, not for the pokemon section, just Knowledge. We will view every page in Knowledge and categorize each entry. But if we plan to do that, expect quite a while. Posted by SiteMaster:11 May 11, 2002 Saturday Well I look at my Chemistry section and boy is it blank. So I decided to add more features. Also, I'll be having some inter-subjects for our site. Like our Astronomy section, and our Physics section. Then we'll have Astrophysics, to combine them. I'll have a separate page for that. Like Chemistry + Biology -> Biochemistry. And I'll link Biochemistry. And if you remember the 3 new books I bought, well I bought another one, Biology. These 4 books are from the same company, like a series. I may have a Biology section. Well anyways I add a small Amino Acids section in Chemistry which I'll put in Biochemistry when it comes out. Also this page for news is getting real long, after a few more posts I'll divide that into section as Old News. Posted by SiteMaster:10 New section May 4, 2002 Saturday Well, though Psychrometrics never opened yet, I put up a new section you all should be more familiar with, Physics. I wanted a physics section in the start, but what should I put it with? I went to a different bookstore last night (If you say Somesite Old News), and bought 3 new books, Geometry, Chemistry, and Physics. Back when the site was up I thought of having a Science section, but it died the second I thought about it. Well, when you think about science, you may think about life science, like nature, which there is biology to replace that. And biology can be divided into two main groups, zoology and botany. And then there's also ecology. But if you think about elements, then there's the word chemistry. When you think of science as froces and motion, then there's physics. Then there are other words like microbiology and geology. So it seemes pointless to have a science section. But then I thought whether I should have a chemistry or a physics section. I wanted to put a Periodic Table somewhere, so I opened a chemistry section. But I thought about how physics and chemistry can be so related, and then different. I would be nice to click something, and then you have a choice to click chemistry or physics, and then you go to their main page. But what should the name be? Lame o science? If I ever find a better word, I can combine them as one. Like how matehmatics will have geometry and calculus, but they are not the same. Back. |
