As some of you may know, there's a new season in the Anime, where Ash already has 5 badges. Sooner or later the Johto series will be over, when Ash battles at the Johto League. Also, just by looking at the 3 starter images, you may think that the fire starter (the bird) doesn't look like a fire type, but from the screenshots of the Japanese Game Boy Advance games shows it as the color red. I'll also be working more on the pokedex.
