Some Stats Explanation |
Every pokemon has a deter value, or "genes". You cannot tell what deter value your pokemon is. It can be 0-15, so there is a total of 16. Let's have an example. Venusaur has a maximum H.P. of 363 if he had the best deter value and you gave him all the HP Ups you can give him. For Nidoking, his max stat H.P. is 365. But let's say your pokemon does not have the best deter value, but has the second best. So if Nidoking had a deter value of 14, his max H.P. possible is 363. For 13, 361, 12, 359. and so on. Another to note is that your pokemon's deter value can be different for their other stats. However, I am assuming there are percentages of getting them. For example, getting a deter value of 7 may be must higher than getting a deter value of 15. I heard the chances of getting a 15 deter value is 0.1, and maybe 1% chance of getting a 14. Probably a 30% chance of getting a 6,7,8, or 9. So, if your pokemon has a deter value of 0, and you give it max everything, they will have less than 30 for their max stats. Apparently, I'm not the expert of this stat calcuations, and sites like www.azureheights.com are more detailed. So about the Venusaur and Nidoking thing, if you were to catch them both, if Venusaur and Nidoking had the same deter value in H.P., Nidoking will have a higher H.P. If Venusur has 1 deter value of H.P. higher, they would have the same H.P. For instance Machamp max H.P. is 383, and Charizard is 359. If Machamp has the lowest H.P. possible and Charizard has the best possible, Machamp's H.P. would be 353, so Charizard barely has a better H.P. I'm also assuming that the chances of getting that is 0.1, or maybe 0.01. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I'll be back for more information here. So what can you do about it if your pokemon has deter values low in every stat? Inxluding H.P., attack, defense etc.? The answer is very simple. If you like a strong Kingdra, and you catch a Horsea with very low deter value, catch another one, and compare and contrast. After giving in all the proteins, calciums, irons, carbohydrates, and Hp Ups (which costs a lot of $$$), add up the total stats of both pokemon. So of the first Horsea, add his attack strength, defense strength, etc. and get a number. Do the same with the other Horsea. Then compare the number. Then, you can catch a third horsea, fourth horsea, etc. But what about one of a kind pokemon like Mewtwo and the legendary birds? Actually there still is a way to do that. When catching a rare pokemon like Mewtwo, carry as much as the Hp ups and stat boosters as possible. Save the game before fighting the pokemon. Once the game is saved, fight it, and weaken it with a Master/Ultra Ball. Then, get it's stats and give him/her or it (if you're in R/B/Y) all you have until the pokemon reached it's limits, and add the number. There are calculators to figire out the max states. and if you're pokemon turned out to be weak than turn offf the game and start over. Once you return on your game, that rare pokemon is right next to you, if you saved right before fighting it. |
