The Clap Receiving moments of Umapathi Anand

My Entry to this world on 2nd May 1975 was celebrated grandly, since I delayed to come out for three days from the date fixed by the doctors to be on right and comfortable time. I found a huge crowd to invite me and also to bless my mother and me. I was congratulated by the angels too to be a son to my Mother.

Being smart and swift, I was loved ( ofcourse now also) by every neighbor and called as umakutty.

I have received many appreciation from my father for doing mathematical calculations in a short period and answering intelligent questions even before the beginning of my school Life. I was requested by many to tell the dialogue from Veerapandia kattabomman taught by my aunt Thavasi was famous at that time .

I received Three Prizes from the Head Master of the School in the First Year when I entered the School Life in 1981. I got special appreciation from the PET.

I received a prize in the inter school competition when I was doing my 3rd standard. ( forgot the event)

I received a Second prize for the drawing competition in our school during my 5th Standard.

In all the classes I have received many appreciation for speed mathematics.

I entered SCOUT during my 6th Standard. I was selected as the Group wise caption though junior.

During the Holidays after the final exams I used to spend time in doing small business in our street. I made toys using balloons and color papers and sold for good prize. In One such a holiday period I earned a net profit of Rs 100 and appreciated by my mother.

I have won many prizes in athletics during the Sports day of our school. Being a front player of Ball Batmitton our team has won District level tournaments. I had been in team till my 10th standard.

I got the Scout Caption ship during my 8th standard and have performed many social service activities.

I entered NCC during my 9th Standard and was selected as CPL. and have participated in Independence day Marching.

I got the NCC caption ship (Sargent) during my 10th standard and participated in the special demonstrations of the NCC Cadets during the Independence day celebrations. I was appreciated by the officers for the time synchronization in giving commands and control during March fast.

I scored 437/500 in 10th standard which was school first in our school and received many prizes and cash awards during annual day celebrations.

I got the School Pupil Leadership during my 11th Standard and performed in the Assembly. I was given chance to train the NCC students for the third year also though the period is only two years to be in NCC.

I have participated in many dramas and dances during many occasions.

I scored 953/1200 in Higher Secondary final examination which was a School Second in our School.

I was given the caption ship of RED house team in our school Sports day. My team came Second when I was doing my 12th Standard.

I was selected as the Joint Secretary of Physics Association during my UG I year at Aditanar college of arts and science.

I joined Karate during my first Year UG. I got Two Second Prizes in the District level Competitions held at Tuticorin both in Katas and Fight events in the White belts category. This was the first Karate Tournament I participated with a training of only 10 months and was appreciated by Master Mr.Josehp Mesmin III DON Black Belt from Sathan Kulam, who was a State Champion when he was a student.

I have won prizes in karate in college level though not participated in the inter college Championship. I became Assistant Master in our college.

I became the Secretary of the physics association when I was doing my III year and the General Coordinator of the Science popularization Schemes conducted by our college.

I finished my UG Degree with 87% (No Internals) and got the Class First.

I have given many Demonstrations in Karate in different places and the one I gave in our college was a highlight.

I joined Anna University for M.Sc, Materials Science though missed B.Tech.

I participated in the State Championship Karate Meet held at Indra Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Chennai during 1996 and got two Silver Medals in the Kata event and Individual Fight Event and a Jaw bone fracture as bonus. Since my dress was not OK my Master gave his won dress for the Final Events.

I got through GATE Examinations 1997 when I was doing my II year M.Sc.

I got appointed as JTO in Department of Telecommunications when I was doing my II year M.Sc. I got 3rd Rank in the selection list.

I did a Dance and a Karate Demonstration in the Training Center (RGMCTTC, Chennai) which was a highlight there.

In the DOT as a JTO I have not done appreciably anything so far though I have reserved a special place for me in computer. I hold the post of Branch Secretary for the TEOA association, New Tech Installation branch.

I have developed Some Packages in VB to help the Installers as well as the Maintenance Staff in making their work simple which has received good response.
