The Communication Honor Society
Recruiting new members:
- target juniors in your classes
- applications will be copied and put in the Lambda Pi Eta mailbox on the second floor of Skinner for the pick up and distribution by members
- applications are also available online
Meeting Update:
-Meetings will be held every Tuesday at 4:45 pm in 1127 Woods Hall
Induction Ceremony for new members:
-The ceremony will be held on November 15 at 8:00pm
-All inductees will receive a formal invitation
-All Communication Faculty and Staff will be invited
-We will also provide food and refreshments
Activities:
1.Bake Sale
-On October 11, 2005 from 10am-4pm
-Lauren will reserve a table through Campus Reservations
-The profits will support our participation in the Walk for the Homeless
2. Resume Workshop
-Sabrina will talk to the Career Center to schedule a date
-Possibly October 18 or October 25
3. Charity Event
-Lambda Pi Eta members will participate in the Help the Homeless Walkathon on November 19, 2005.
4. Graduate School Information Session
-A panel of graduate students and professors on November 2, 2005 at 6:00 pm
-Open to all communication students
-Kim will draft a letter to invite panel members
-We will offer gifts to the panel members
Lambda Pi Eta T-Shirts:
-The shirt will say "Lambda Pi Eta" on the front and "Communication on a higher level" on the back
-Look for designs and we will make a decision at the next meeting
