Islamic compassion to orphans Um-el-Khair Association of Lugazi Muslim Women takes care of 50 orphans. This activity is carried out at Lugazi Muslim  Primary School. The orphans are trained in: 1. Home economics 2. Tailoring Besides, some orphans are assisted in payment of their school fees, provision of scholsatic materials and taking care of their health. In order to raise funds the association plans to start a dairy farm, rearing exotic cattle on a zero-grazing basis. The funds generated from the sale of milk will go towards carying for the needs of the orphans.

A madarasa class. Children study Islamic religious education during the evening.
