Annual Holiday Cookie Exchange

December 15 - 7pm

Get those holiday cookies ready! Our annual neighborhood cookie exchange is scheduled for Thursday, December 15th. Just bake 4 dozen cookies and bring them to the exchange...then go home with an assortment from those your neighbors brought!

This year Garry and Donna Scholz will be hosting the party... with lots of guidance and advice from Annette and Karla who've hosted the event for the past 3 - or it it four years? Annette has promised to provide her yummy salmon mousse. Garry is preparing hors d'oeuvres that will equally entice and delight. Coffee, wine and punch will also be served. Mike will no doubt add his special touch as well.

Don't forget to bring an empty container with you to use when selecting your assortment! See you there....

Cars Robbed July 31st

Several neighborhood cars were robbed Saturday night, July 31st, 2005. One car belonged to another out-of-state guest in our neighborhood on his first night visiting. So, there might be thieves cruising on the lookout for out-of-state license plates.

Police advise that gangs out of DC routinely cruise Northern Virginia neighborhoods looking for out-of-town or even local vehicles they can spot valuables through the window. Vehicles with special radios, laptop computers, or other valuables visible through the window are hot targets.

We believe only unlocked vehicles were robbed this time, but even locking your car won't prevent theft. Lock your cars, and don't leave valuables in them overnight.

March 28th Flood

Our area got more than 2 inches of rain in just a few hours the afternoon of March 28th. Here are some pictures taken at 6pm after the rain had passed through.
