1. INTRODUCTION

The Project is titled “GLOBAL BANKING” which provides solutions for online banking. It is being implemented under the Esteemed guidance of Dr. Yugi Lee.

Since the advent of banking services in the Middle Ages bank customers have used paper-based instrument to move money between accounts. In the Past few years, electronic messages moving through private networks have largely replaced paper for most of the messages exchanged among banks everyday.  Electronic-Cash is the first step in electronic replacements for traditional forms of payments in the banks and among users.

“One day all banks will exist only in cyberspace. And the day is not far away”. This is vision of a legendary man William Melton, who holds the credit of creating and developing Internet giants like Cyber Cash, VeriFone, Real Share Inc., etc.

It comes as no surprise to one that when everything is being converted to electronics then how business and banking can be left behind. Already the business transactions have gone global with the coming of Internet. Now, no more an individual aims at the local market because the global market is also just a click of a button away. Dozens of companies are in the race to convince bankers and merchant that a pot of gold awaits those who conduct their business on the Internet. In this fast race of business and money making no country and no individual want to fall back. Everyone wants to lead the group. Hence, everyone is trying to make the best use of the Internet.

Global Bank is electronic commerce software that has Internet, as it’s working ground. This provides a platform for online banking. Online systems allow customers to plug into a host of banking services from a personal computer by connecting with the bank's computers over telephone wires. The convenience can be compelling. Not only travel time reduced, but also ATM machines, telephone banking or banking by mail are often unnecessary. And, technology continues to make online banking, once attempted only by computer enthusiasts, easier for the average consumer.

Even that may not be easy enough, though. Many systems that offer greater financial control also require more work. Online bill payment is an example of an effort that requires setting up which leads to ultimate convenience.Banks use a variety of names for online banking services, such as PC banking, home banking, electronic banking or Internet banking. Regardless of the name, these systems offer certain advantages over traditional banking methods.
