"Once upon a time...
when Spring was everywhere
the sparkling frost had melted
bright sunshine warmed the air.
The breezes hummed a lullaby
to dancing drops of dew,
and welcomed back the Snowbunnies,
Spring's tiny dreams come true."

With the coming of Spring, the Snowbunnies come out and play. Like their Snowbaby counterparts, these small white figurines work and have fun doing "bunny" things. This little branch of Department 56 is often over-looked by the collector. Since they are introduced only once a year, most Department 56 retailers do not carry them. It is even difficult to find out the new ones that are released. Getting in to the home page of Department 56 is a task unto itself. Snowbunnies have always been the promise of new life and new beginnings. To me, much as Snowbabies symbolize Winter, these bunnies mean that Spring is on the way.
Have you ever seen a bunny riding a high wheel bicycle or teaching birds to sing? This is part of the world of Snowbunnies. It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words......please enjoy a few thousand words.
