STRIPPING THE BEAST
HOME
Well, I got started stripping the caddy,  I only spent a couple hours on it and most of that was spent on getting  the vinyl off the roof.  I'm also trying to not ruin the chrome trim so I can sell it. So, It's going to take a while.  I'll keep updating this page as I go.

I was happy to see no rust in the trunk or on the quarter panels!
you can still see pieces of the vinyl that took so long to remove.  The glass will stay for now because I'm working outside
Well, It's starting to look like a derby car.  I only worked on it a little this weekend.  I don't know what I'll do with the weak bumper. That is the only weak spot on the car. Any ideas? e-mail me

The car is totally stripped now except for the gas tank and hitch.  The hitch was home-made and whoever made it did a good job.  The only problem is they welded braces right next to the gas tank.  I won't be torching them off!  The car has also been on blocks since the last update.  It will stay on the blocks as long as possible to try to get the suspension stretched out to gain some height.

The interior that was once so luxurious with  leather seats and fake wood is nothing but business now!
The side glass was simply unbolted and removed.  The front glass was removed by sawing through the adhesive with a long blade.  I put lots of tape on the rear window and simply smasehd it with a sledge.  The tape held the glass together and I was able to roll it up and throw it away.
AFTERMATH!
