the Silky, Smooth Sounds of

UNCA BRY!!!!
Unca Bry and his Jackson Soloist (sold seperately)
IN THE BEGINNING...
When Unca Bry started playing guitar, he started with a hand-me-down vintage Sears guitar and a Pignose amp his cousin loaned him. Unca Bry was hooked and shortly thereafter he began saving his lunchmoney for his first solidbody electric and from these humble beginnings, his collection has grown to what you see listed on this site!

THE PLAGERISM CONTINUES!
In the early days, Unca Bry grooved to the sounds of 80s metal from Stryper and Dokken. Unca Bry ignored grunge music's meteoric rise and clunge to his roots. Since then, Unca Bry has discovered the wonders of bands like Megadeth ( they rock live!), Drain S.T.H. (weep!) and Creed (although Unca Bry likes the heavier stuff like What If? and Bullets that you don't hear on the radio).  Below is a more exhaustive list of Unca Bry's influences:
GEORGE LYNCH I have never heard God play guitar, but I think Mr. Scary gets as close as mere mortals can! One of the few people who actually NEEDS a Floyd Rose tremolo! He sounds better even today!

OZ FOX/ MICHAEL SWEET-STRYPER Speaking of God, here's Stryper! I remember hearing Oz and Michael trade solos in the middle of songs and just being absolutely amazed! I saw them live in 2001 and they were even better live! Stryper stands out among the 80s bands because of their guitar harmony parts and dueling leads!

DAVE MUSTAINE- MEGADETH The first time I heard Megadeth, I thought Dave was the master of aggression! His palm muting is brutal and I used to practice it for hours on end until I got it just right! But just when you think that's all he can do, he rips off a solo and you wonder where that can from! Very creative guy! Nice guy too! He actually talks with and signs stuff for his fans (instead of sticking it to them like other big name metal acts have been known to do in recent years!)

SCOTT IAN- ANTHRAX If I learned palm muting from Dave, Scott changed how I applied it. Scott's riffs are intensity x10! Scott Ian is clearly one of the best rhythm players in the world! He plays lightning fast, super clean riffs. I pull out "The Sound of White Noise" at least once a month! Monstrous tone!

RANDY RHODES (R.I.P.) If not for a tragic plane crash, I am convinced that Randy would have overshadowed Eddie Van Halen (sorry, Eddie). As soon as Randy started playing, you knew it was him. In a time when everyone was trying to sound like everyone else, Randy stood out by doing his own, great-sounding thing! He was part writing some of the greatest riffs in metal history (Every good metal guitarist knows how to play the intro to Crazy Train! Am I right?). Randy is sorely missed.

MARK TREMONTI Until I heard Creed, I had never thought about playing in anything other than standard tuning. Drop-D is alot of fun and I've written some very cool riffs using it! Thanks Mark!

RICK NIELSON- CHEAP TRICK Any man who uses a dozen guitars in an hour, five minute set is my hero! He also writes some great, no nonsense rawk n roll and always lets the song determine the solo, not the other way around!
