Warhammer Quest Miniatures
Warhammer Quest is a game that was put out by Games Workshop in 1995. It was supposed to be a heavily miniatures-based role-playing game. The basic boxed set contained 10 plastic doorways, 4 plastic hero miniatures, 87(!) plastic monster miniatures, dice, cardboard floor tiles, cardboard counters, cards, character sheets, and rule books. Games Workshop released numerous character expansion packs, each of which contained a brand-new metal miniature to represent the character. They also released 2 quest packs with new adventures, each of which contained several new metal miniatures to represent the main monsters. Support for the game was pulled in just a couple of years, but it's still one of my favorites, and my wife and I play it occasionally.

Alternates, Conversions, and Specials
Sometimes the minis that came with the game and its supplements just didn't do the trick. Occasionally, the official miniature didn't match my mental picture of the character. One character I play frequently never had an official miniature at all. Often my wife wanted to play a character as a female and needed a mini to match. We both wanted a greater variety of monsters to fight than the box sets provided. These special cases called for special miniatures. I dug up old, discontinued miniatures, bought current (at the time) figures from Games Workshop's Warhammer and Mordheim ranges, and bought minis from other companies--whatever worked. I then got to work converting and painting. The results, with notes (on the off chance that anybody cares), are at the link below.
