Well guys, how about another MSN conversation?

It's been a while. I left Canada almost 2.5 years ago, and Edinburgh 14 months ago. I'm now doing a PhD at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. But then if you found this page, you probably knew that.

My PhD concerns tectonics and palaeoclimate in Greece, using terrestrial carbonates. I read the BBC news web page a lot. And drink coffee. Oh, and I visit Greece.

I haven't spent a year in Korea or Quebec. Nor have I taken a teddy bear around the world. I don't sunbathe on French beaches. But I do wear a tyvek bodysuit and rubber shoes. Now you're jealous.

For the first year of my PhD, I lived in a 70s residential area in suburban Norwich. As I was leaving, they were just catching up with rumours that Hadrian was building a wall up North.

I have now moved in to central Norwich, and things have significantly improved. There is a pub next door, and a fish and chip shop round the corner. But there are still no donuts.

Today it is cold, and I got up too late to go to Tim Hortons for breakfast, so I'll go there in a minute.
Nicolas is still asking for some people's addresses, so just email them to him and he'll shut up.
I am doing my laundry at the moment.
Michael has started taking performance enhancing drugs, which seem to be making him smile a lot. Pool is only a game, Michael.
Stuart the snowman has been burried.
There is snow on the ground at the moment.
We are now almost through the first two weeks of term, and complaints are rolling in about the workload.
Squirrel count is low but fat, and weather postcast is very cold, so wear gloves.
