Nastassja Kinski (a school therapist) moves from NYC
to a tiny town for a new start. There, she meets up
with strange, elusive townfolk who seem to have a bone
to pick with an 8 year old boy, who is taunted and
ridiculed without mercy. Kinski steps in to protect
him at the very moment that mutilated bodies begin
popping up all over town. The boy claims to know the
murderer, which as a sci-fi obsessed kid, he thinks is
a monster from another planet. A secret is revealed,
and Kinski ends up fighting for her life.

Is she in it much? |
Yes, consistently.
|
When should I watch out
for her? |
Opening scene until the end.
|
Well known co-stars: |
Randy Quaid is the only person I
recognized.
|
And
is it any good? |
It will hold your interest, especially if you're an
X-Files fan. This plays out like an extended episode
of that series. It starts out appropriately eerie and
intriguing. Dennis Quaid does well in presenting a
character that you're unsure of. Is he a nice guy or
is he Satan? Bobby Edner, the kid, got some nice
reviews for this role, but I did not find him
especially interesting. The 'monster' is kept hidden
in quick shots for much of the time, which is a GOOD
thing, as it's much more suspenseful. Seeing it full
screen at the very end was as you'd expect; a letdown.
There are some needless cliches and some obtrusively
odd characterizations (Nurse Divelbuss looks like a
drag queen).
