The Underground

Established 2004

The Underground is a general meeting place the welcomes all comers and takes no prisoners. A volatile, no-holds-barred environment set up more or less the same way the BP newspaper should be, but more than twice a year and featuring the people who actually SHOULD be in charge of the paper, not dramatic goth queens and ass-kissers with nothing to say for themselves or anyone. You want info, you want opinion, you want good quality work with passion that actually embodies the art that writing SHOULD be? Welcome to the Underground, you'll fit right in.

Who WRITES this shit?

I have every intention of blowing this project up into something rather large, cause there's plenty of shit that needs to be said that absolutely no one can hear... But just the same, I'd rather not divulge just who any of our Soldiers are. I understand that this comes off as needless drama, a poor special effect to make us feel special, since I'm sure once this is off the ground there will be little doubt as to who we are, regardless of what names we hide behind (after all, who doesn't know who Rush is?) but as I mentioned, things are gonna get rough from here, and a certain amount of anonymity can't hurt. But our writers were hand selected as people that I felt had the brass to handle this, after all, not everyone can be mature in a no-boundaries situation, and any new writers will be selected half by the Soldiers we've already got, and half by our readers.

I want in!

If you want to become one of our writers, that's good, I want to encourage growth, but you had better be good, because by entering the ring with your work you put it up for open criticism by a team assembled partially because I knew they would be able to tear someone apart if the need arose, so if you want in, you need brass, and you need skill. The way it works is, you contact tell us you want in in the guest book, and leave me some means of getting a hold of you. You give me a topic, and write about it, and I'll post you as a new recruit and see what the public and my fellow Soldiers think of you, and if you're liked, you're in, if not, you're forever branded by the mark of SUCK.
