Club History
The concept of the UNI Baseball Club was brought about by our first club President Neal Molitor in 2004.  After a year of paperwork to get the club up and going, UNI played a few "pick-up" games with area colleges such as ISU, Minnesota State, Grinnell, & NIACC.  The Panthers posted their first ever club victory in their first ever game against the Cyclones.
In the Spring of 2006, UNI played their first regulation conference game as part of the NCBA against Iowa State.  After taking a lead, ISU fought back and forced the game into extra innings where the Cyclones eventually survived the Panthers.  After 14 innings, the Cyclones came out on top 12-8.
The following week, UNI faced off against the then ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers and kept both games very close, but the Hiskers too escaped the Panthers in a double-header.
Finally, UNI posted its 1st win in the NCBA as it topped the Iowa Hawkeyes in an offensive showdown 15-13.  The Panthers were able to take 2 from the Hawkeyes on that weekend and look now to continue winning on into the future.
