The resin models need more attention and patience compared to plastic ones. First of all because the resin is more brittle and the moldings are more crude.
However Unicraft resin is very plastic-like and is more handy to work with compared to many other resin types. Besides it is LESS TOXIC which is important too.
TYPICAL WORKFLOW
1. cut out the parts from the sprues, the best way to do so is using the heated (on the flame) knife. When heated resin gets very soft, but hardens back when cooling.
2. prepare the edges and surface of the parts: usually a fine file and sandpaper is used for this process. You sand the surface to smooth it / get rid of molding imperfections. Then using a fine scribing tool re-new the panel lines, surface details.
3. Glue the major parts together. This is done with a SUPER GLUE (cyano acrylic instant glue) or two-component resin (similar to that the model parts cast of)
4. When the major assembly dries, fill the seams/cavities (if any) with a resin filler/putty. Plastic glues and fillers won't work!
5. Another cleaning with a fine sandpaper and re-scribing the panel lines in places of parts joint.
6. Small parts are better to use from your spare box, as the resin is too brittle for such fine parts as struts/landing gear legs, antennae, etc.
7. Painting/decaling and finishing process is pretty much the same as with plastic models. Resin holds the modeling paint pretty well.
