Introduction:

Welcome to my homepage! My name is Anubis, well, not really but in the 'Cyber-verse' it's not a bad idea to have some measure of anonymity. Hehe! I have been a fan of George A. Romero's 'Dead Saga' ever since the first time I saw 'Night of the Living Dead' (1968) when I was 12 years old in 1987 CE.

(George A. Romero circa 2000 CE)

The old USA Network variety program called 'Night Flight' showed it late on a Friday night. After seeing that, I was hooked and immediately went out and rented the two other installments of the film that weekend. I was captivated.

Certainly I had seen horror films before and many of them featuring some variant of zombies or flesh eaters. However, none of them seemed to tap into as many fears, phobias, prejudices and aspects of human behavior that Romero's saga has.

Here we have an apocalypse that comes out of nowhere and, just as suddenly, the very fabric of society begins to readily split at the seams. The best and the worst of humans and human nature surfaces in ways never seen in modern society.

Civil services collapse and anarchy reigns...

The walking dead add to their numbers as a result of the chaos that ensues. In other words every dead body whose brain isn't incapacitated by decapitation, a blow to the head or a gunshot will get up and kill and the people that it kills get up and kill!

That is just the beginning...

There are many stories to tell in this universe: A Dead Universe; where zombies reign and the fall of mankind is only a misstep away!

This is the purpose of this site to tell those stories, revel in the horror and the hope of mankind's survival over extreme odds and dire circumstances. Please submit your tales of adventure, horror, gore, of love, hope and humanity and all of it's nobility and all of it foibles.

Submit, also, your 'Dead Saga' or zombie inspired artwork, poetry, reviews, memories and the like., Please see guidelines for technical information for submissions.

All of your works are yours and remain your property. This is just a personal fan site. I make no money from it and, so, have no money to give. The only things I lay claim to are my reviews, introduction, my personally authored fan fiction, the site layout and so forth and so on.

As Hall & Oates would say, Do It For Love! That's why I am doing this.

Your friend in Horror and Music,

ANUBIS!
