Escape From the Nightmare (Part One)

It was three hours ago that Eric had his first encounter with the undead. He was bit in the hand and has a gash down his right arm. It's about two o'clock AM he's tired, hurt and all he has is a pistol by his side. Eric proceeded to the back of the cafe to see if there was another way out. He left the cafe and went into the alley. As he turned the corner he noticed a girl about his age being attacked by a deformed human crawling on all fours. Its long piercing tongue dripping with hunger, stalking the girl. Eric screamed to the girl to get down. He ran over and shot the thing dead through the tongue.

As its mutilated tongue fell to the ground Eric looked up at it and said, "What the..."

Before he knew it the thing thrown him into a trash heap. Eric looked to his left and saw a half empty gas tank. He ran toward the creature grabbed the girl and threw the gas can at it. Eric fired two shots at the tank and finally it blew up right on the creature's face.

Eric helped the girl up and said, "Sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself but my names Eric, Eric Mabius".

The girl replied, " My name's Alicia Belmont and thank you Eric," "Don't mention it but lets just get out of here," "Hey," Alicia said. "A cop pulled up earlier I think his keys are still in the car,

"Where was this?" Eric said "Just around the corner," Alicia replied.

They both entered the street and both stepped back in shock. The hordes of the undead feasting on the innocent civilians were enough to make even a mass murderer choke. Eric quickly noticed the cop car and pulled Alicia gently away from the scene. As they got in the car Eric told her to check the glove compartment.

"There's a gun in there," Alicia said "Better take it with you," He replied.

As they drove they heard a noise from the back seat, Eric adjusted the rear view mirror but the zombie jumped out and tried to bite Eric. Alicia and Eric screamed. Alicia took hold of the wheel and swerved around three times until they smashed into the north Raccoon high school sign.

The zombie flew back into the back seat "lets get the hell out of here" said Eric. They stepped out of the vehicle only to see zombies stumbling towards the car." Into the school" Eric said. As they walked through the corridors they saw a crate that had been addressed to the principal and chief of police Mr. Irons. It was from the world known pharmaceutical company "Umbrella".

Eric said" maybe there's something useful in it''. Eric took his hands and began to pull on the crate but it wouldn't budge. Alicia aimed her gun at the nails and shot the crate open." all right this is messed up, what kind of pharmaceutical company ships sub-machine guns to schools" Eric said." Who cares lets take two and get moving," replied Alicia. They both heard screams from the library. "C'mon" said Eric.

As they entered the library they saw an injured female cop and a young man being attacked by one of those things they had met earlier. Eric charged at it and jumped on its back firing his mp5 wildly into the creature. It threw him into the bookshelf's he laid unconscious. Alicia rushed over to the creature and jabbed a letter opener into its mutated head. She then repeatedly fired bullets into the creatures face until it collapsed to the ground.

Eric groaned, " My back kills,".

"Thank god you're okay," Alicia said.

Eric got up slowly but he was okay. The officer had been impaled through the chest and was now dead the man how ever was alive.

He slowly managed to make the words come out "The name's Matt Addison, I'm a detective for the Raccoon Agency".

"Well, Matt, lets get going," said Eric.

The three of them proceeded down the corridor and to the nurse's office. Eric said he would try to find them a way out. Alicia said she would stay and treat matt's wounds. Eric stepped out the back door of the school and down the steps. When he entered the parking lot he saw cars with giant claw marks swiped through them." what could have done this" Eric thought to himself. He kept walking until he came to the subway station.

"That's it!" He went down to the subway and entered the first door he saw.

He was going to clear the sub of zombies so matt and Alicia would have a clear path. As soon as he entered the last car the passengers who were once dead were now very alive. He quickly closed the door and began to hear the moans and groans of the undead.

"What the fuck?" said Eric as the sub started moving.

The zombies began pounding on the door the hinges were coming loose. Eric looked around until finally he saw an escape hatch and climbed through just as the zombies broke through. He crawled on the top of the cars until he reached the control car. He quickly pulled back the break lever and hopped out of the first car and walked back out of the subway. A half an hour later he reached the streets again. Two cars had head on collisions with each other the explosion knocked Eric back several feet. Soon zombies cornered Eric and the only way out was a locked door to a warehouse. He fired his berretta at the lock and ran in. He was only about a quarter mile from the school he had to reach them in time. Eric noticed a phone and a phone book to his right he looked up the school and called.

Alicia heard the phone and ran to the main office to pick it up. "Hello, Alicia it's me, Eric, can you meet me at the subway station?" "I'll do my best," replied Alicia. Alicia and Matt ran as fast as they could.

Eric got to the roof of the warehouse and heard the faint sound of footsteps he turned around to see he was face to face with a ten foot tall man who had been mutilated his heart was outside of his body attached to his chest and he had giant claws in place of his left hand. He quickly slammed his one fist into Eric. Eric flew back at least twenty feet. He fired at it but it seemed to do no damage to this "Tyrant''. The Tyrant ran at him, Eric was out of ammo for his sub-machine gun.

The Tyrant cornered him Eric fired a shot from his berretta and it hit the creature in its heart. The Tyrant must have felt pain for the first time he fell to his knees. Eric stood up and shot into the heart he backed the Tyrant up until the finally it dropped and blood spurted from its heart.

Alicia and matt shot up the zombies until they backed into the second car they slammed the door shut on the zombies. Eric burst through the side door and gave Alicia a hug "thank god your all right," said Eric. Matt started up the train and they took off. When they arrived at the new station they got out to discover south Raccoon city was worse than where they where. The trio ran into Kendo's gun shop to get ammo for their weapons. They left out the alley and headed for the R.P.D...
