It was eight o 'clock in the morning the sky was a dark and dismal gray. Rain showered the streets washing blood everywhere. Eric awoke to find him self covered in wood and rubble. He felt wet raindrops hitting his face; Eric looked up and noticed there was a giant hole in the ceiling. He removed the trash and broken wood planks covering him and pulled himself up.
Eric slowly walked to the front of the Raccoon daily newspaper building. He picked up his spas shotgun and pushed the cabinet that was blocking the main door out of the way. When he stepped out side he noticed that the city was like a war zone. Cars were crashed into each other creating many roaring fires.
As he looked around he noticed a group of the undead shuffling towards him. He distinctly noticed two of them though they where like normal zombies but instead their skin was a deep red and their fingers were sharpened like claws. These unique zombies also began running at him so he whipped out his shotgun and blew a gaping hole in its chest exposing its lungs. The zombie just looked at him and began running at him again he pumped two more shells at it until it finally collapsed onto the soaking pavement.
"I'm running out of ammo here," Eric said.
Eric ran back in and dead bolted the door and pushed the cabinet back in front
of it.
The alley was dark Matt was cold and Alicia had ran into the local supermarket.
Matt proceeded down the alley but slipped on the mud, he stood up and realized
he had lost his pistol. He heard a groan and another and another, until he
turned around and realized that zombies were cornering him into this dead end
alley. Matt sprinted for the dumpster and climbed in. He heard and felt the
undead pushing the dumpster back and forth desperately trying to tip it over.
Matt took out his lighter and looked around he saw a wine bottle half full, and some dirty rags." that's it" he thought he soon got the meanest Molotov cocktail ready and stood on top of the dumpster. He lit the rag as fast as he could and crashed the bottle right into the swarm of zombies. He looked up and saw a window; he grabbed hold of the window ledge and pulled himself into the window falling through the glass. He dumped through the window and hit the ground flat. He crawled over and picked up the gun lying on the ground. The lights began to flicker and suddenly everything went black.
"Oh this is just great..." Matt mumbled to himself. He started hearing a click clack sound and then a loud hiss. He flipped open his Zippo and was standing face to face with an entirely mutilated creature.
Alicia walked through the isles of the supermarket looking for the pharmacy section of the store. She tightly clenched her sub machine gun in her hands when she saw a can roll out from the isle. She listened closely and heard shuffles coming from both sides of the isle. Alicia began wasting rounds into the undead rotten corpses. As soon as they hit the ground she ran past their bodies and to the door.
She turned around to see the undead getting right back up," these things just keep coming" she said. She turned around to see she was face to face with some sort of side show freak .It lifted its hand and back handed Alicia into a stack of cans.
Alicia heard a voice yell, " Get down!" but was in too much pain to recognize the voice. Soon she was picked up and found herself behind a checkout counter where she heard a loud explosion. She looked up and saw Eric kneeling next to her.
"Are you okay?" Alicia said. "I thought you were killed when that thing burst through the ceiling and clobbered you".
"That explains the fact that I was bruised, covered in crap and the giant hole in the ceiling," Eric said.
"Thank god you're okay," Alicia replied.
"What do you say we blow this joint?" Eric said as he helped Alicia up.
Matt shifted to the left but the creature still followed him with its razor like tongue. Matt leaned back and kicked the creature in its face, or what he thought was its face. The creature fought back by jabbing Matt in the shoulder with its sharp tongue. Matt shot the creature in the tongue blowing its tongue to a blob on the damp floor. He fired one shot and heard a loud click
"No freaking way," he said to himself.
"I'm out of bullets."
He heard a loud gunshot and the creature's head blew open, sputtering blood all over Matt's face and chest.
"What a mess..." Matt heard a voice say.
He took out his lighter and saw a cop standing there badly wounded. The officer collapsed to the ground and slowly pulled himself on top of a crate. Matt ran over to the officer and noticed he had several guns. The officer noticed that Matt was eyeing the magnum.
"Here, take it." the officer said handing Matt the magnum and two rounds.
Matt went to help the officer up when the officer replied " No, I'm far too infected, I'll only slow you down,".
"You've been wounded I see, there is a way to cure the infection though, go to the hospital you must break open the chemicals safe and mix the vaccine base and the virus itself to create an antidote," said the officer.
"But, how will I know which ones are which? "Matt asked.
"There the only vials in the safe, there is enough for at least six uses. The base is a blue and the virus is red," the officer replied.
Matt walked up the metal stairs to go out the door but he stopped and turned around. "How exactly do you know all this?" Matt queried.
There was no response...
