Matt walked the streets in hope of finding Eric and Alicia. Matt turned the corner and saw the Raccoon Hospital; he quickly ran over and opened the door. As he entered the hospital he saw that the glass was scattered all over the floor and there were bloodstains everywhere. Matt looked for a way off the first floor so he ran to the staircase. As he went to open the door to the staircase beams and floorboards fell through the ceiling covering the door.
"This is great...just fucking great!" Matt yelled.
He looked around in search of an elevator. He opened the receptionist's door and proceeded to the elevator. When the doors opened he was disgusted at what he saw. Blood was smeared across the walls and a man lay on the ground his torso was ripped open and many of his vital organs missing. Matt turned around and began to vomit. He stood up, wiped his mouth off on his sleeve and entered the elevator. As he pressed the second floor button he anxiously waited for the doors to open. He slipped out the door and walked to the Research Center, he swung open the door and looked for the safe. He walked around and was intrigued by what he saw. Giant vials which were filled with mutated humans that appeared to be test subjects.
"What could have done this?" Matt said to himself.
He found the safe and shot the lock until it released. He found the vaccine base and virus and took them to the chemical facility. He read the file lying next to the ground, which told him how to create a vaccine. He placed them in and began the mixing process; he did this six times to create enough so that if he found Alicia and Eric they could use the vaccine. He took the shoulder bag off the desk and filed it with the duralumin case that contained the vaccines. Matt turned to walk out of Research Center when he heard a sound of a dogs nails clicking across the floor he turned around and saw a very scared dog the dog continued turning its head to show that half of its face was missing.
"What the hell?" Matt said.
The dog rushed across the floor and jumped at Matt, he slammed the dogs face with the butt of his gun sending the dogs brains out the other side of its head. Matt ran out the door and slammed the lock down. He turned and saw another one of these zombified dogs he had no time to react before he knew it the dog began sprinting at him. He searched the wall with the palm of his hand for a doorknob but found himself pressed up against a window. The dog dove through the air but Matt dropped to the floor and watched the dog crash through the window and go plummeting to the ground.
"There's too many of them!" Eric cried.
Alicia looked over her shoulder and saw a run down apartment
"In there!" Alicia shouted as she tugged Eric along with her.
Eric took some loose boards and nails he found and began barricading the door. Alicia finished boarding up the windows while Eric walked up the stairs to look for a way out. He looked out the upper window and saw the massive amounts of the undead slamming at the front door. He put his gun on the desk beside him and sat down on the dust-covered bed.
"How did I get into this, I should have taken the application to N.Y.U and I wouldn't have had to deal with this shit. Or is the rest of the world infected to?! Shit, I need to clear my thoughts," He stood up and watched as the undead banged on the door.
Eric trampled down the creaky stairs and Alicia was nowhere to be found. He looked around for her and found her on the couch breathing deeply and she looked in pain. Matt was by her side and had a shot he was preparing for her.
Eric grabbed his arm "Hey, what the hell are you doing?!" Eric boomed.
"Chill, out Eric!"
"What is that?" Eric asked as he sat on the arm of the couch.
"It's a vaccine for the virus." he replied flatly.
" How the did you get that?"
"Some guy told me it would be at the hospital," replied Matt as he finished the shot preparation.
"Hey, she's coming to!" said Eric.
Alicia sat up and smiled when she saw that Matt and Eric were still alive. She grabbed her gun off the coffee table and they all turned around when the back door burst open. Eric and Matt went out to check it out. Eric stepped out and picked up the crowbar that was lying on the ground. Eric looked onto the roof and saw the same creature he had met on the roof of the warehouse. It completely jumped over Eric and went For Matt who was turned around and didn't see it.
Eric went for his gun.
"Shit, its on the desk!" he thought to himself.
He gripped the crowbar tight and stabbed the hooked end of it into the creatures back. It landed and swerved for Eric instead. It went to crush Eric with its fists when Matt shot his magnum through its back forcing bullets through its chest and splattering blood all over Eric. The creature dropped right next to Eric. Eric pulled himself away from the creature
"Thanks, Matt," Eric sighed in nervous relief.
"No problem" Matt replied.
As he helped Eric up Alicia rushed out the door and handed Eric his gun.
"We have got to get out of here they just got through the front door" she said.
"There was a car that was still running about a block down and a gas station about a half mile away from that," Matt said.
"All right lets get going" Alicia
said.
