Train-up reaction Target group: 4-8 years old Number of students: 10 or above Materials: Watercolor pen, watercolor tray Steps: 1. Divide whole class into several groups with a given color name. 2. Teacher pretends to be a painter and tells kids that she/he is going to draw a picture. 3. Invite students to be the watercolor. 4. E.g. when teacher says 'Red', Group 'Red' stands up and says 'Here!'. 5. Teacher can use the brush to point at a group and they need to stand up. 6. Variation: Teacher can point at a group with wrong name to ensure that students are really listening.	Details

Target group: 5-10 years old Number of students: 4 or above Materials: eyeshade, a piece of magnet, pen for the board Steps: 1. Teacher draws a face except one face part on the board 2. Divide children into 2 groups and select 1 representative from each group 3. Cover representatives' eye with the eyeshade and turn around for 3 times 4. Other groupmates give instruction to the representative to place the missing face part on the face 5. See which group places the missing part correctly within the time limit.	Details
	A0064 Big Ear (p.38)	Big Ear (p.38) Objective: Listening and oral of vocabularies Target group: 4-12 years old Number of students: max 30 Materials: flashcards (two sets), CD with the song "This is the way" Steps: 1. Divide the whole class into two groups and give each group a set of flashcards. 2. Play the CD and ask student pass the cards around within their group. 3. Teacher stops the music randomly and student need to stop passing the cards. 4. Teacher speaks a word and students in both groups who holding that cards need to stand up and pronounce the words as fast as possible. 1 point will go to the faster group who pronounce correctly. 5. Play the music and pass the cards again until the student learn all the words.	Details

Teacher can invite students to act out the vehicle or how they look like when taking it. 4. Tell the students teacher is going to travel. 5. Ask them to guess what the teacher is taking and seeing during the trip. 6. Divide whole class into two groups and play the CD. Pronunciation of musical instruments Target group: 5-12 years old Number of students: Max 30 Materials: Red Ribbon, Black open vest, Chopstick, Flashcards of musical instruments, CD with sound of musical instruments Steps: 1. Revise the vocabularies 2. Ask one student to wear the ribbon and vest as a conductor 3. Ask six students to form a musical group and each of them holds a flashcard 4. Divide the rest of the class into two groups and play the CD. The conductor starts to conduct the group and ask students to listen and raise hand as fast as possible if they know the name of the musical instrument. 5. When the student shout out the answer, the group member who hold that flashcard should raise up the card. Then the conductor judge whether they are correct or wrong. 1 point will go that group if the answer is correct.	Details

Draw a tree on the board and put the magnets on the tree. 2. Tell the student that it is a magic tree with fruits in different shape. Students are the fruit pickers who follow the instructions of teacher and pick the fruit. 3. Divide the whole class into two groups, then give the a basket and a leaf hat to the representative of each group. Student needs to pick all the fruits in the shape spoke by teacher as fast as possible. 4. Repeat the steps until all the student have been a fruit picker.	Details
