Maki's review:

This is one of those anime series that you will either love or die of boredom watching. I believe that this is a fantastic series. I?ve only just seen these two episoded on DVD the other day but the quality of the plot and story line could easily be compared to OVAs for other anime movies. This series is about Major Jack Bukar, and Lieutenant Rei Fukai, but more so Lt. Fukai and his Super Slyth ?Yukikaze?. If you want a plot summary you can go to one of those sites that sells the DVD?s or look at someone else?s views on the series. I don?t feel like giving a play by play. But this is one of those series that you will probably not find on cartoon network, probably cause it isn?t a cartoon.
The quality of work here is simply amazing. I cannot begin to describe how highly detailed the series is. The graphics both digital and animated blend wonderfully. There is a simplicity of expression through words. Like many other anime movies, the speaking is at the minimal, and it?s mostly expression through the animation and music. The music, which is mostly piano in the background blended with some electronics. Through the series you can see the strong bonds of friendship and the hardships in the characters lives. The animations did an excellent job detailing this series. It runs more on the though of ?less is more? and it has a few abstract ideas in animation and dream sequence, but it?s overall fascinating.

The part that I also like is the way they chose to do the seiyuu both American and Japanese.
Major Bukhar by Johji Nakata,  And  Rei Fukai by Masato Sakai
The power and tone used it the Japanese is recognized in the dubbing.
I?ll admit I have not watched the whole things dubbed, but I?m anticipating a high quality dub job that has accuracy.

Lt. Fukai definitely is a Bishounen that the girls that see it will like, strong and quiet as he is. But at the same time Major Bukhar is a little bit more of a rugged man that the girls will probably also like, I think he can be compared to Viggo M. (^-^)

I honestly like Rei Fukai in the series? just because he seems to be the main character and has some conflicts within himself, and seems to be in several death-like cliffhanger situations.  A morbid point to mention but I like the risky portions in movies.  Blood and guts make things  more interesting.

The plot of this series is interesting and makes me think of Robotech in an akward way, except there is no Zentradi to fight, but the JAM and instead of being out in the south Pacific, the basis of this story is in Antarctica. The planes are the main source of defense and there seems to be a strongly knit relationship between the characters. The best part is that there is no annoying pop star like Lynn MinMay!

However in other ways this story cannot be compared to other Anime, like the creation of planes that are unmanned, and have a strong connection to one person. The dogfights in the air are amazing and high quality. The accuracy and detail are simply amazing.
