BEIJING OUTLAWS BIG DOGS
The city of Beijing has recently passed a law outlawing all dogs over 35cm (13.7 inches) tall, which became effective on June 11, 2005.  On July 11, police became authorized to enter guardians’ homes and confiscate their beloved family member, despite the fact that most of these guardians obtained their companion years before the law was enacted.  This law even allows the police to maliciously beat the dogs in front of their guardians.

Over 40 breeds of dogs have already been banned from Beijing and other cities and this new law is likely to spread to many other cities in China.

Please help Beijing dog guardians.  Please write a polite letter to the Mayor of Beijing, Mr. Wang Qishan, and implore him to act now to reverse this appalling law.
