URGE YOUR FL REPS TO SUPPORT HB 43
Please contact your Florida state representatives and urge them to support HB 43 (from the 2005B session) which would strengthen Florida’s animal cruelty laws.  If it is made law, HB 43 would stiffen penalties for those who knowingly and intentionally injure, mutilate, or kill an animal. First time offenders would face a minimum mandatory term of six months' incarceration (there is currently no such minimum sentence), and subsequent offenders would serve a minimum of 10 months behind bars (the current minimum sentence is six months).  For more information about this bill, CLICK HERE.
