GREAT CATS & RARE CANIDS ACT

The Great Cats and Rare Canids Act (H.R. 1707) was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on April 19, 2005 by Representative Clay Shaw from Florida.  This bill, if passed, would help protect more than a dozen rare cat and canine populations outside the U.S. that are recognized as endangered or threatened by supporting and providing financial resources for the conservation programs of nations.

Please contact your U.S. Representative and urge him/her to co-sponsor and support this significant piece of legislation.  Neither Representative Jim Davis nor 2006 senatorial candidate Representative Katherine Harris are co-sponsors of this bill.
