The Mullet Militia is a growing group of bands in the Charlotte, NC region and surrounding areas that support each other in an attempt to help the music scene grow. The main foundation of the militia is based upon the "YOU HELP US, WE HELP YOU" motto. There are rules for being in the militia, it's not just an easy way to get shows. One of the biggest points of being in the militia is to support your fellow bands. For instance, if a militia band is playing on a show in Charlotte or close by, at least one person from each militia band needs to come out to that show. We do, however, understand legitimate excuses like having to work, etc. We try to put on a Mullet Militia show every few months that just has militia bands on the bill. It's all about support. We're all trying to make it somewhere, so let's make it easier and help each other out. It's not to benefit one, it's to benefit all.
