"Someday, after we have mastered the waves, the tides and gravity, we will activate the energies of love and for the second time in history man will have discovered fire." Piere Teilohard de Chardin |
Consistent imbalance, ie. worry, fear, anxiety, anger or consistent sadness, puts strain on the heart and other organs, eventually leading to other serious health problems. Yet when we experience heart felt emotions like love, joy, happiness, satisfaction, peace, care and appreciation, the heart then produces coherent or smooth rhythms that enhance performance and produce beneficial effects that include cardiovascular efficiency, enhanced immuniyt and hormonal and nervous system blance. Greg Braden is another independent researcher and writer who in his book " Walking between the Worlds, the science of compassion" reveals that there are only two primary emotions, LOVE and FEAR, and that all other feelings are derivatives of these. LOVE = joy, happiness, peace, compassion, tolerance - FEAR = frustration, greed, anger, hate and worry. In his book he draws a startling conclusion based on the work of Dan Winters and the Hearthmath Institute. He graphically illustrates that the feeling states of LOVE and FEAR can be monitored and measured. The expression of LOVE being a short and fast wave of emotion whilst FEAR is a long and slow wave of emotion. He also asks an interesting question of our gentic code "Of the 64 possible combinations allowed for in our genetic code, why aren't each of the combinations eabled ? Why do some codes appear to be on while others are off "? He aslo tells us that ...." Within each cell of the human body are found what may be thought of as micro antenna, (amino acids) molecular receptors, tuned to varyng qualities of vibration.....if each of the codes represents a unique antenna allowing us to tune into and receive a unique quality of vibration, why have we had only 20 of those combinations turned on........and what determines the location of each antenna along the structure of the DNA.......and what would our lives be like if these codes were turned on "?. |
Let us take a moment to comprehend the ramifications of this. If the heart feels love, not fear, and the body/mind acts in positive ways, setting up a vibrational wave that enhances our overall system which must have an affect on how we interact with others and our world. (how can you be angry when you are happy or how can you be sad when you are at peace for instance)Wouldn't this mean that if LOVE rather than FEAR harmonizes our bodies to its optimum potential then wouldn't this be the harmonic, or pattern that our bodies respond to best ? Meaning that love would be the core of who we are since that is what turns us on ! And isn't this what the worlds greates teachers have been trying to tell us for eons? Researchers such as those already mentioned and countless others who are coming to similar conclusion have given us a profound key. Not only is our heart more than just a mere pump, but as our most universal symbol of love it is reflecting its self back to us showing us that feeling states of love and any of its derivativeness are what enhance our overall system. It is that illusive key that turns on our DNA, that activates the higher centres of the brain, indeed, turns on the higher centres of our brain. It is that vibration which sends rejuvenating hormonal, chemical and electrical impulses flowing through our system for optimum well being both mental, intellectual, physical and spiritual. The answer to our own dilemma is WITHIN US ! However, for many of us, it is easier to get angry, depressed, sad and worry about the events unfolding in our lives and in the wider world. We call it stress and stress, like mental illness, pathological illness and war has become NORMALIZED. It has become part of our every day world. Yet what is stress, we know the feelings, anger, frustration, resentment etc, all derivatives of FEAR. These feelings lead to apathy, depression and a general sense of tiredness. However what are all these reactions to everyday life doing in our bodies? How are these everyday responses affecting our organs, our thinking our reactions To illustrate this, take a look at the pictures below, and contemplate, that if emotions, that is energy in motion can do this to water, what is it doing to our bodies. |
What If What if we lived in a world where every thing was energy ? And what if, in this world, every thing we thought came to be according to its intensity What if everything was neutral and had no meaning excepting that which we gave it ? What if reality was simply someone' idea and that idea became the dominate reality becasue everyone gave their energy to it ? What if being whole was something we already are ? And what if beliefs were just different ways of lookinig and experiencing life ? What if this were true, what idea whould you give your energy to ? copy right - jenese |
Deep inside there is a feeling, inarticulate, (for many) subtle and growing. Something is stirring, it is reflective in the world around us. The global discontent that we are begining to witness is a reflection of something much deeper, can you feel it ? Something is trying to tell us something and I believe it is our heart. We may think of our hearts as just a mere pump, but it is more than that as you will see. Our heart speaks to us in a language we find difficult to comprehend, yet easy to dismiss. The language of feeling, more accurately a vibration, a wave-form, which creates a sensation we interpret as feeling. Yet historically feelings are not something we like to acknowldege all that much, nor are we taught to express them freely or safely, hence we either don't give much value to them, (love, appreciation and peace) or place more value and energy on them than need be (anger, frustration and war). In the main we have been taught to over ride our feelings with our intellect, we have been taught to distrust the more subtle sensing in favour of the bedrock of our intellect, our rational minds. We have been taught that our feelings can be deceptive that only external reality is reliable and scientifically quantifiable, all the while growing more and more frustrated at the demands of our day to day lives our relationships, and the unsettling globalisation of our world, not to mention the 'war on terrorism' that the Bush Administration is currently waging. We have also been taught that others know more than we do, that we should just leave it to the 'experts' because they know what they are doing Yet there is no better 'expert' than your own knowing/sensing. Something is terribly out of balance in our world and we sense it. Our hearts are trying to tell us someting - and yet we continue to not listen We have considered our hearts to be a mere pump and have not paid that much conscious attention to it. In contrast we give our attention to the brain. Here we consider the brain to be the seat of all power, of all intelligence, of all thinking. And in a sense, we are forever in our heads, analyizing, thinking, intelecualizing. But what if it was the HEART that sent the impusle to analyize, to think, to intelecualize, what if the heart where the cause of these impulses coming to us as a feeling, a sensing or an intuition ? Independent researchers are discovering some surprising facts about our bodies, particually our hearts. These facts about our heart come curtesy of the Heartmath.org in the USA * The heart starts to form in the fetus before there is a brain * The heart has its own intrinsic nervous system with over 40,000 neurons, referred to by neuroscientists as 'the brain in the heart' *The heartbeat generates 40-60 times more electrical amplitude than the brain *The magnetic field produced by the heart can be measured as far as 8ft from the body, as well as from anywhere on the body * The electricity generated by the heart can be detected and measured in the brain waves of another person, when people are touching or near each other * The heart contains newly discovered cells that produces a number of neuro-chemical cells once thought to be produced only by specialized glands and nerve cells *The heart had to be recently re-classified as a hormonal gland because it produces serval important hormones which target the adrenal glands, kidney's, circulatory system and the brain. While we fail to understand the complete and utter unity that exists within our bodies, we will continue to fragment the differing parts - section off our understanding of how whole systems work in unity and continue to miss the vast insight this 'new' understanding of the heart brings to our over all understanding of who we are and how we can unlock more of our potential Our heart and our brain, are part of an incredible team, as team players they resonate with the entire team which is all the other organs and process that happen within our bodies - so in order to understand how our heart has been relegated to a secondary place while the brain has been given superior status we must of necessity speak in these fragmented terms, but understand, behind the words, the unity of our bodies rests as a vast truth. Heartmath research shows us that the first organ created in the foetus is indeed the heart, and its research has given us an abundance of information - information that mystics throughout the ages have spoken about The reason that all our high teachers have asked us to love, is because the heart which pumps the blood throughout the body, to every single cell and organ in the body, is attuned to our emotional states. According to Heartmath researchers, they have discovered how every beat of our heart carries intricate messages that affect our emotions, our physical health and the quality of life we experience. They have found critical links between heart and emotions revealing for the first time that as we experience emotional reactions like anger, frustration, anxiety and insecurity, our heart rhythms become incoherent or more jagged, this then interferes with performance and our ability to solve problems. These emotions then create a chain reaction in the body, blood vessels constrict, blood pressure rises and the immune system is inhibited. Consistent imbalance, i.e. worry, fear, anxiety, anger or consistent sadness, puts strain on the heart and other organs, eventually leading to other serious health problems. Yet when we experience heart felt emotions like love, joy, happiness, satisfaction, peace, care and appreciation, the heart then produces coherent or smooth rhythms that enhance performance and produce beneficial effects that include cardiovascular efficiency, enhanced immunity and hormonal and nervous system balance. |

"It is recognized that the body's stress response encompasses more than 1,400 known physical and chemical reactions and over 30 different hormones and neurotransmitters. The 2 key physiological systems that coordinate the body's response to stress are the autonomic nervous ystem which reacts almost immediately and the hormonal system whose reactions occur and persist over a longer time. But even organs that aren't considered part of either of these systems, such as the stomach and kidneys, also pour out hormones to accomplisht the body's vast response to stress". Heartmath Ancient wisdom - Truth - the body does not distinguish between an actual physical event that you are having or a fantasy you are creating in your mind. Nor does it distinguish between a violent movie you are watching, the news, or whether you are being beaten up or having a major argument with someone in reality. All the body does is respond to your emotional state and that state is aroused by feelings. This also goes for those painful moments we play over and over again in our heads. Broken hearts, failed relationships, fights, stress, worry, arguments. All the things we play over and over again in the privacy of our own minds, each time we do this we set up internal reactions based on the feeling states we are having. - Feelings of Love, joy, peace, compassion, etc, will be regenerative, while feelings of anger, hate, fear will be having a degenerating affect within us. The saying " judge not lest ye be judged" In its highest context, this simple sentence means that everytime you judge something, every time you emote the feelings of fear, anger and their derivatives - you will send a cocktail off degenerating chemicals hormones and electrical currents throughout your body which will over time degrade your body, age it, and eventually cause its malfunction (illness) and death This is another reason why our wisest sages, teaches and mystics amongst us have urged us to come from our hearts - to love so that we could be regenerated However, for many of us, it is easier to get angry, depressed, sad and worry about the events unfolding in our lives and in the wider world. We call it stress and stress, like mental illness, pathological illness and war has become NORMALIZED. It has become part of our every day world. Our bodies react to stress by releasing the hormone known as adrenaline into the blood stream, it elevates our heart rate, blood pressure, tenses up our muscles and speeds our breathing. Other hormones, including noradrenalin and cortisol (known as the 'stress' hormone) are activated and if not checked the ongoing release sears the body like acid, even hours after the initial stress trigger has gone. When our bodies are under chronic stress our bodies produce high levels of cortisol over long periods of time and the brain's thermostat resets and directs the body to maintain a higher level of cortisol production as normal Stress is in our lives, it has become NORMALIZED, and now that we have discovered just what effect it has on our bodies, the question is how do we change it ? I have no intention here of being an 'expert', I relate from my own experiences, for I consider the experience of myself to be the biggest assets I have in understanding myself and how to change my reactions to my day to day stressors. Yet this page's title is message from the heart, and I consider it vital that we realize first and foremost that our heart is not just a mere pump. It is so much more as we have seen. However WE are so much more than what we have been taught to think we are, and I ask you now to consider this simple analogy. If we were 8 cylinder cars, given what we think we know about ourselves, our bodies and our world, we would only be running on 2 We would all have 6 more cylinders in potential, yet most of us would not even have a clue on how to turn them on. Hell some of us wouldn't even know to lift the hood and check for more ! This analogy, is based on the idea that medical science tells us that we use only 20% of our brain, and they freely admit that they do not fully understand the other higher parts of the brain. However, orthodox medicine or science, does not see the holistic nature of the integrated being in their view of healing. What turns more of our cylinders on ? LOVE Now that we have seen that the heart is more than just a mere pump, and how the wave form of LOVE not fear, wraps itself around our DNA we can begin to gain an understanding that LOVE truly does turn us on. Equally we gain an understanding of how FEAR, worry, anger and anxiety works to restrict our health and sets up a degenerative affect within our bodies which, contributes to our health and our wellbeing, especially as we age. As intelligent as we think we are, we are hardly conscious of ourselves. This is why the biggest challenge that we will ever have to face is to come from our hearts, because in discovering what our hearts are enables us to discover who we are and the potential we all have within to transform our lives and our world. The challenge rests with us. This is no off the cuff challenge, this is very real. It's a challenge that humanity may not be able to collectively rise to. For in order to come from the heart, solders will have to refuse to join the military, refuse to kill. Politicians will find it difficult to lie and conceal truth from their fellow citizens. Likewise, Politicians will not so easily be able to make war, because they will have discovered their higher natures. This higher nature, or as some term it, the higher self, is that self that waits in potential waiting to engage its heart and in turn, expand its nature. We are being challenged in every direction from traitorous politicians to climate change and peak oil - yet our heart asks us to look at the events unfolding in our world in context with the analogy given above. (8 cylinder cars) The pain and suffering that has gone hand and hand with the wars and traitorous self gain has given rise to such a limitation of being, to incredible unconsciousness. Today we stand in awe and amazement at how our world could plunge to such depths where war, death and dying, torture, pathological illness and extreme poverty for over half the worlds people is 'normalised' in a business as usual type of way. We are being challenged to come from our hearts, where every opportunity is an opportunity to open to a higher way of being and responding to the world around us. Because in truth, in ancient wisdom this is how we co create our world - by our feeling states. Today we live in a world where FEAR is the dominate energy state - it is fear and its derivatives that create war - that lead to illness and death - that lead to the need for weapons of every kind. - look again at the illustrations, at the wave forms of love and fear and how they interact with our double helix DNA strands - Look again at the water crystals and realise that we do indeed create our own state of health or unease as the case may be - These researchers have given us a powerful visual aid in understanding a profound 'spiritual' truth. We have big discoveries to make within ourselves, about who we are and the potential we contain within. Our world is in the death throws of an old paradigm and we are being challenged to see it and wake up to it. We are being challenged to understand what our heart is and the way we have fragmented our holistic selves, our integrated and unified selves in order to wake up and choose a different way. That way is what lies in our deepest hearts - and we are being challenged every second of the day to live in that place. The challenge rests with us. |
