Trick Tips..
A frontside is very simple once you learn how to lock on.. Lock on in between the 2nd and 3rd wheel of your skate.(where most of you should have a H-block) Practice stalling in this position and when you feel comfy landing in that postion, try to get a little speed. eventually you'll be able to grind it with confidence...
A backside is very simlar to a frontside except your back is to the object your grinding.Stall this grind till you feel comfy, then start grinding it..
You SHOULD learn these first (that's what everyone tells me) But I personally learn how to soul, royale, and backside before I could ever frontside..haha just me ..
Now the all mighty SOUL!!! This grind I could do in my sleep. It's so easy to do onces you get it. First stall the grind many times, doing this makes it easier.Lock on the OUTSIDE of the skate! And throw the other foot in frontside position !(alot of begginers think its the INSIDE of the skate.WELL IT"S NOT!! Skate up to the object with moderate speed, when you get close to the object just and lock-in soul postion, and try to balance it out..It looks REALLY good if you can spin into it..

TOPSOULS: Grinding on the side of your frame and balancing your weight evenly is a key to grinding  this grind a good ways. First practice stalling this grind if your doing it on coping, then when your comfy start carving the ramp and you'll eventually get the hang of it and start grinding it. The girl in the picture is topsouling the ledge, and as you can see her weight is a little more on the back foot. Once you learn these you should start being able to do fishbrains, if you haven't accidently already did.
*Trick of The Week*
See how her foot is over the object making it topside
See how her weight is here
Her front foot is in  backside position grinding between the 2nd and 3rd wheel, on the h-block
It's alot easier to lock on if you bend your knees
