The Metians are an ancient race of warriors. Their only intent is to expand their empire from planet to planet. They have yet to meet a race they couldn't overcome. What they lack in technology they make up for in numbers. After their home planet is attacked by the Metians a group of scientist attempt to make the ultimate weapons. Their home planet engulfed in war with the Metians they must find a safe place to develop their weapons. After escaping from their planet they make their way to a small cluster of planets where they start their research. Their intent is to make 4 suits for battle based on the legend of the Four Horsemen, this legend was bought to their planet from a traveler of the Anakim race. His home planet had been destroyed by and interstellar collision with a giant asteroid. According to the legend four horsemen would be released on one of the neighboring planets to Anakim known as Earth. It was decided that an actual living suit would have the best results so the scientist headed for the planetary home of the Deadkin. The Deadkin were known for thier ability to live for thousands upon thousands of years. Some of the Deadkin race were captured and experimented upon for the development of the living suits. This mutilation did not set well with the other members of the Deadkin, and though not technologically advanced the deadkin were able to drive the scientist from the planet.

The scientist then headed for a planetary system known to be the home of a peaceful race known as the Boron. The Boron was a technologically advanced race, it was also known that some of the Boron were changelings. During their landing the scientist ship was severely damaged. The Boron people were quick to help the scientist build a place to live, for the scientist told the Boron that they had come to the planet in peace to escape the war ravaging their planet. With the help of the Boron the scientist built a laboratory to complete their weapon development. They convinced several Boron with changeling abilities to assist them with their experiment and just as they had done the Deadkin they began to experiment upon the Boron. The Boron were physically advanced in the amount of experiments they could take before dying. The scientist took the information they had from the experiments on the Deadkin and combined this with information obtained from the experiments on the Boron. They combined this information and developed a living suit. Made from the genetic material of both Boron and Deadkin as well as other technology the scientist had accomplished part of their development. A power source was then needed to keep the suit in its semi-living form as well as to control the suit.

The suits seemed to have minds of their and in fact seemed to be a new form of life. Artifacts that went along with the persona of each horseman were developed to power and control the suits. A bow for the Conqueror, a sword for War, a scale for Famine, and an hour glass for Death. After many years of work the scientist had finally finished their work. Many of the original scientist had died as had many of the children and grandchildren. The question before the new generation of scientist was if the veils would actually help their home planet in the battle against the Metians. One scientist decided that he would take one of the veil back to their home planet and would we rewarded for the development of the weapon. Upon his escape with the artifact he did not have time to take the veil. He did however make his way to the ships crash site and used one of the remaining escape pods. The other scientist decided that the veils were to dangerous to be used and that the power given to their users was to great a threat. The scientist revealed the veils to the Boron as well as the artifacts and the experiments they had conducted. The Boron were a forgiving race and assisted the scientist in sealing the laboratory so that no one could get to the veils. The scientist were accepted into Boron society. They revealed to the Boron that their ancestors had started the development of the veils as a way to combat a race that was attacking their planet. Thousands of years have passed since the last scientist died and the Veils were sealed. The Boron continued to live a peaceful life. All was well until a race known as the Metians landed on one of the Boron inhabited planets looking for a Veil of War.
