I read that the book was suppose to be so funny. So I read it hoping to get some big laughs. I guess I expected it to be funnier and so I was disappointed.
I think the reason why they kept their skipping Christmas and the cruise so secret is because Mr. Krank thought that others would not let him get away with it. And he did think that he was trying to get away with something. His "secret" really did back fire.
The neighbor, Vic, is funny with all that he does to the Kranks because they are skipping Christmas. While I was reading it, though, I thought it was also kind of mean. The Free Frosty signs were pretty funny.
