I loved all the recipes and that they went with a story.
SOme of them reminded me of my mom, grandma, and adopted grandma.
They are like stories, the recipes.
I have some old recipe cards that I think have my great-aunt or great-grandma's handwriting on them. Some of the recipes, like Russian Tea Cakes and Butter Cookies, have been made in my family for a hundred years or more.
