Brockschmidt´s Herzberg House in November, 1944 when Yehuda Nir lived there. Notice the fallen plaster from the right front of this large, though decrepit, farm house. Yehuda describes it as “grander than I had imagined from its description. The Mansion was of palatial proportions, its circular driveway, immaculate lawn, and the pristine white of the building made an overwhelming impression.”

Some of the trucks given by Heirich Brockschmidt to Oskar Schindler to transport some of the Schindler Hebrews from Poland to Czechoslovakia. The trucks were later destroyed in an air attack. Many of the Schindler Hebrews later settled in Israel, the United States, Australia, and other countries.
