The End Town: Chapter 4

       In the underground, Miller found the reason that his uncle came looking for him. There was a treasure trove of military issued weapons ranging from knives & handguns, to old Super-Leo mobile suits. "Uncle Art's started a damn militia." "Well Joey, you can stay here." Art said pointing to a cot in an old run-down office.
       Later that night something stirred Joseph & woke him up, the sound of Marlian jungle boots climbing down the walls. He quickly got up to see what was up, he saw half a dozen Marlian soldiers setting bombs on his uncle's weaponary while 2 others took out the surveillance. Miller quickly grabbed his 12mm Porter pistol & proceeded to walk along side the wall until he was in range of the Marlians. "Freeze jack-offs!" He said pointing the loaded weapon at the soldiers. "We told you bastards that we would kill everyone who had the weapons to oppose us, you aren't the first to plan a deserate attempt at rescue from our hands, but merely one of the last." The soldier then grabbed his rifle & shot at Miller. Miller dived behind some nearby boxes & fired a couple of retalliation shots as the Marlians fled. "See, see what your 'brave' heroics have gotten you!" As he pressed the firing mechanism, timed seemed to cease but when the explosion fell on all the militants ears, no one was ready for it.
