After October of 1999,i splintered off from the group for a while. Moroni and I formed what became the Shakes in the summer of 2000 and we played a whopping ONE SHOW! That was pretty cool though,we didn't even intend on playing, just soliciting our tape (3 songs...technically 4) for 3 bucks, felt bad about taking that much for 2 good songs, but it helped our near dehydration on the trip home the next morning.Just as we were fixing to finish a new batch of tunes Moroni left for Phoenix in the late winter of 2001.Funny thing is, Nick(who returned from Tulsa with kickass drum skills) agreed to play for the Shakes after Moroni left;bad timing has always been our specialty...Eventually we reformed and we are where we are now...NOWHERE. |
flier for the last gig of 1999 @ a hole in the wall coffee shop in Gallup.bullshit deleted.a sort of subconscious rendering of a dream i had in 1996,though the situation differs slightly. |
Post script:did not mention other bands except one cos sometimes honesty is not the best policy. Also, audience varied in number.more often than not there was hardly a soul besides the other bands' friends which don't fuckin countexcept to them. Not much difference from now, except maybe the faces are older and colder and everyone's got a webpage. Again, please send us your art(written, visual, etc.),this is how NNTV 5 should be.No censorship unless you really suck but hey we suck too. reclusive23@hotmail.com oh yes,"them goddamned No Cla$$ Blood Sausage Boys get the ShAkEs" are Nicholas Santana Webster,Joseph Alcario Melchor,Garrett Brennan Stewart,Almo Mark Nakaidinae, and Moroni Fulton(the furor) |
