YM- 20 Hottest Guys Issue (August 2003) Where You've Seen Him: Fooling around with Jena Malone in The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys and causing trouble as a rebellious prep school student in The Emperor's Club. Next year, he'll star in his very first comedy, The Girl Next Door, about a high school student who falls in love with the girl who, uh, lives next door. Why we picked him: Those brooding green eyes would be reason enough. But he's also a talented actor, cartoonist and lyricist. The Next Eminem: Emile's really into rap and even competes 8 Mile-esque battles. "You have to display your rhyming skills," says Emile, 18. "If you win the crowd, you will have them, Maximus." (F.Y.I: That's from Gladiator.) The best kind of exposure: In The Emperor's Club, Emile has a seminude scene. "That was extremely bold because I don't have a six pack, so I kind of felt like a chump," says the L.A native. "But it was alright." Yeah, it was cool for us, too. It's a dog-eat-dog business: "When I was in seventh grade, I did a monster movie," says Emile. "There was this big animatronic puppet thing the size of a German shepherd that hit me so hard I almost got knocked out. Everyone was laughing and I was pissed." - Melissa Robyn Glassman |
