Joining them on (vocals) Doug Thompson and on (drums) Jim Benton. When Thompson was forced out, Dexter took over vocals while Jim was replaced by James Lilja. Holland, Lilja and new member Keven Wasserman were all part of a band called Clowns of Death. In 1985, the decision was made to change the name of Manic Subsidal to The Offspring. Lilja was losing interest in the band and was replaced by Ron Welty. By 1989, they were ready to make their first album. The Offspring, as you probably know if you're reading this have established into the best band of all time and if you disagree, we can change Ron's favorite saying to "Throw Shi* at YOU onstage" well, i hope you enjoyed the skeleton of their history. |
