In Memory of Morts2005
Why do bad things happen to quitters?
Morts2005 was a nice addition to the site. He always updated when he was supposed to and just plain did good work. However, when the site was in a lull in terms of userbase, Morts became frustrated and no longer wanted to participate in updates.
Coincidentally, when news broke out about Morts quitting he was mysteriously dragged off to a prison deep within Russia where rats are a delicacy and turtles are coasters for pain. Why he was placed in a Russian prison is still a mystery though word on the street is that he put cokes in Lennin's body to keep them cool while he checked out a nearby statue.
Though we essentially no longer had ties with Morts2005 ever since his announcement to quit we did care for his wellfare and decided to send out a message to the Justice League Task Force that he was in trouble. Apparently, they weren't very eager to save him so Bizarro did. Well, Bizarro tried.
Bizarro, with all his strength and vigor, was unable to save Morty. He was able to successefuly break into the Russian prison and obtain Morts, but upone fleeing he flew Morts into a volley of gunfire from Russian guards and Morts was killed. It was a terrible tragedy.
Though Morts no longer wished to continue with the site we will still miss him. He was a fantastic addition to the staff and livened things up with simplistic banter on a weekly basis. It's a shame that he has passed on.
