Tippman Pro-Lite:  This Paintball gun is a classic.   Although it has some problems here in there, it's built like a tank and, if taken care of, will not let you down.  No pansy electro here, this paintball gun is a return to the golden days of large fields and lots of cover.  Put a good barrel on it and you got a sniper rifle.
Tippman Pro-Carbine:  This gun takes the best from the carbine and the prolite one package.  It is accurate, lighter weight, and has a better trigger pull than its predecessors.  Although it is a little bulky for speedball, if you are looking for a paintball gun that handles like a rifle, this one is the one for you.  Just make sure you keep it well oiled.
Tippman SL-68II:   Ooh, this thing is sweet.  This gun has to be the most durable and fastest pump I know of.   Its report intimidates the pussies with silent electros, make it the last thing they hear.  A red dot sight and a new barrel are a must, a sling would be handy too.  I've found a barrel for this gun, a J & J 14' ceramic, it should make it quiet and accurate. Update:  The J&J barrel does make a pretty big difference in this guns accuracy
Tippman M98 Flatline:  This paintball gun is for backplayers.  It shoots fast, is lighter than the other models, and is fairly reliable.  Lay oppenents to waste at ranges that they can only dream of hitting you.  Don't worry about any other accesssories, the flatline and an agitated hopper is all you need.
Tippman A-5 Flatline:   MP5 anyone?  This thing is hot. I like to run it vertical but a remote would be a better choice.  A little heavy to aim like a rifle, it works well when you shoot from the hip.  A sweet trigger, a retro trigger would be that much better, just be prepared to burn paint.  A good gun for a front or mid player, the ability to shoot sideways is a plus and the flatline doesn't add much to it's size.  Not a much range as the 98 Flatline. I've recently added a remote, tippmann expansion chamber and ricochet hopper.  I shot it and it was consistent as hell, I'm yet to see how things go up at apocalypse.
Kingman Spyder SE:  This gun was the first in the line of guns from kingman that came pre-accesorized.  This leads to a bulky gun that can be a bitch to modify.  It is compact and accurate with a new barrel, but a black barrel just dosen't look right with the yuppy splash camo. Hey, at least its not red and silver... Shooting with an e-grip is fun, but you might was well be shooting a toy.
Kingman Spyder Compact:  The basic spyder... Easily upgradable, not so sure of 2004 parts availablity. Plenty of parts back in 1999.  Pros: Cheap, upgradeable, and many experienced players are familiar with the gun, also compact and lighter weight.  Cons: Cheaply made, plastic M16 style grip is a piece of crap.  I've also experienced a Compact that has problems keeping the hammer cocked back, turns the gun into a pump.  I'd recommend this one over any other spyder becuase of its upgradablity according to the user, all spyders shoot about the same, not really any differences among them except for glitzy parts that make its use harder. Sypders just aren't great guns.
Kingman Spyder TL: I owned this gun and liked it, shot well but if I would've waited 2 months, I could've purchased the TL plus with expansion chamber. Could've paid for the upgrade kit for 100 bucks more but just sold the gun instead.  An excellent shot with a 12" Dye Aluminum barrel, stick to a black body for concealment.  The problem that drove me to sell it was that the bolt jammed with broken paint. Not only is the gun made inaccurate by the broken paint, it takes a wrench to unjam the bolt.
Kingman New Hammer: Cheap pump gun, fairly accurate and light. Mostly a metal construction.  Problems: Can't adjust the velocity worth a damn, I'd rather have a tigershark.  It's not really meant for good pump use, really a semi look alike.  Crappy ass internals.  The powertubes have a tendency to break, just snaps right in half.  Kingman is just a nigardly company that they won't give a replacement part, they'll charge you 45 big ones for a new valve first.  Avoid this one, you get what you pay for with a pump.
Kingman Spyder Shutter: Basically a shiny TL Plus Plus.  Make yourself a target and buy this shiny thing. Kingman is decent for cheap quality, but I can gaurantee that you'll be getting a new gun in less than a year.  Go with tippmann.
Brass Eagle Talon:  I started with this gun, brings back old memories but isn't really durable.  If everyone's got one, games can turn out to be really fun.  I'd like to figure out the machine a new body and pump arm, maybe find a way to get c\a put on.  If your creative, you can do a whole lot of things with this gun, even though it is pretty cheaply made.  Cheap, simple, reliable but low in performance.
Brass Eagle Tigershark:  Cheap gun, but is good quality.  If you want to play pump paintball, I'd recomend it.  Fairly accurate and reliable, not the fastest shooting gun.  Compared to the cost of other guns out there, it is a bargain.  The problem is that pump guns are getting harder and harder to find everyday, Its a fun way to play and the game has more finesse and sportsmanship than with dag gum electros.
Brass Eagle Stingray:  The counter part to the tigershark, a basic yet reliable semi.  Get a new barrel and wrap it camo cloth and you have a decent gun.  I'd recommend a Tippman 98 or Pro-carbine over this gun.  If you like the feel of this, the 98 or pro carbine may be for you.  Not too compact, good for open fields like most tippman guns, raised constant air adapter makes aiming kinda difficult with a mask on.
Brass Eagle Raptor:  Nice trigger, not to familiar with it.  Plastic grip is prone to malfunction. Fast shooting, compact and light way.  My team had a wiry agressive guy who tore up the field with this gun.  I wouldn't recommend it, most brass eagle semi's suck, The only gun I like is the tiger shark pump.  Spyders are better, but both companies are low quality and unreliable.
Automag: Basic automag with a bunch a sweet looking parts.  In reality, this gun is unreliable and has a short range.  Shoots fast and is upgradeable, I've seen one with a hurricane valve that gave it a heck of a lot more velocity and range, but I've also heard that some mags are good, and some just suck, I've never used one so I only can offer what I've heard.
Beast Automag RT: Picture does not correspond.  Beast spent One  Grand creating this thing: Splashed parts, micromag body, dye barrel, rt valve, dye sticky grips, 4500 nitro tank, regulator, etc, etc, etc.  As it turned out, it shot fast as hell, and had a rediculous short range.  What a waste, its no wonder why beast doesn't paintball anymore. >> Recent news:  Brad took beasts gun to apocalypse last fall and was satisfied with its performance.  He did a little tweaking and was able to get this baby working.  I haven't had a chance to shoot it but I figure that the key to a good functioning mag involves getting the right spacer in the sear mechanism and messing around with it until it works.  Probably simpler than a cocker to get to work well.
Stock Autococker: This gun sucks stock. Especially when you try to run co2 through it in the winter.  It got out of time really easily.  On the other hand, Kabar got this gun, suited it up with 45 frame, nitro, new barrel and grips and it works like a charm.  This gun is really sweet and is the ultimate semi if you are willing to put the money into it.  The moral of the story, if you are a cheap ass and your parents don't hand you wads of cash to buy a friggin fancy gun, stay away from the cocker, wait till you got the financial backing - legitimate means of course - and the skills to be  able to put this quarterhorse to work.
Sheridan PGP: Enjoy the relic of one of the brothers of the first paintball guns.  This baby's got roots.  The problem is that the paintballs I use roll out the barrel if you point it down towards the ground.  Also, get a velocity adjuster and CO2 quick change from Palmer's pursuit shop.  This gun is good for a backup or for solid stock class play.  Use it against regular pumps or semi's and you are toast.
Equalizer: This gun precedes the automag in blow forward design.  I personally think its better.  Hook it up with a large nitro tank and you got a hard, solid shooter.  Kabar had one of these, but in a moment of hebrew influence, he sold it for $150 to Raynor, who then stupidly sold it to his cousin. I'd love to see him get it back, this thing is a relic and a sweet gun.  Just a step back to the days paintball guns were built like tanks rather than Jap walkmans.
ACI Maverick / PMI Tracer:  My current pump.  I love this gun, I think they still sell it too.  This is a solid pump that is good off the line.  Try a red dot sight or scope for sniper capability.  Shoots fast and straight and is very reliable.  This thing is great and its been around forever.  This ones a winner.  I've been using a gas through stock and remote the last time I played, sure changed the feel of the gun.  Sure quites the pings down, I'm also considering a 14" J&J Ceramic Barrel to cut down noise and improve accuracy. Update:
I got that new barrel, it's very accurate, but seems to lower the velocity.  It also has a looser bore so small caliber paintballs can roll out of the barrel.  This can be a problem with the expectation of a one shot kill and anti-double feed.  I still have to play a game to see how things go.  An Armson Pro-shot site (also use it on the A-5) would be pretty sweet as well.
NPS Diablo: This gun is a Phantom look a like.  This gun was pretty reliable unitl the catch on the hammer that was activated by the sear tore and it must be replaced.  This gun was pretty accurate and very light weight.   It can also be field stripped in seconds and has an underarm pump action.  A decent pump with a little too much brass in the internals are still better than the hammer.
