(Imperial) Thomas A. Ross's Diary

"He walked with his daughter, hand in hand down the corridor.  It  was truly a sight to see, the Grand Fleet Admiral with his very small child walking at his side.  The smile upon his face was bigger then any smile I had seen before. But , alas, it did not last as he showed his daughter along that large windowed corridor, the ship yard which had ships dotting the black vastness of space. And suddenly, a blue like streak hit and passed through a light crusier in the distance.  The Admiral stood up with a sorrow weighed face after kneeling down to show his daughter his ship among those vessels being attacked in the ship yard.  He kneeled down again and kissed his little darlin on the head and motioned for me to take away from the ship yard station. He looked at her with tearfilled eyes, told her how proud of her he was and that he'd always be with her, He picked her up and hugged her, then put her down and said "Adieu my little one.." Then walked passd me.  The look upon his face was regret of most horrid kind.  More of those blue streaks began raining down from above and the ships hit by them where shattered by the impact and explosion that soon followed thereafter.  Fifteen minutes later, 100,000 or 200,000 perished I guess by the debris I was allowed to glimps at.  The bloody ingrates took the Admiral's poor girl. I am too ashamed to admit how I failed him where on these pages. Poor little Karla, never stood a chance anyhow."
