It had been the one high point in an otherwise long and boring summer --
stealing Harry away from the Dursleys. When Ron learned that Harry
had been taken prisoner, he and the twins immediately schemed up a rescue.
Ron longed to fly in his father's car and, as the appointed time for
their mission drew near, he was almost bouncing with anticipation.
But the thrill of flight was nothing compared to the elation on Harry's
face when he saw who had come to set him free. It made Ron beam with
pride.
When Ron squeezed back and Harry grinned, the long and boring summer
became the best Ron could remember.
When Harry was safely away from Privet Drive, he smiled at Ron and
squeezed his hand in thanks. Right then Ron's stomach did a little fluttery
thing it had never done before, not even when the twins had taken the car
through a couple of roller-coaster-type dives on the way to Surrey.
